The problem with meat is each store can make a bar code for the cut of meat and reuse it. The deli, meat, and seafood departments get a generic bar code, for example a prime rib's bar code will let the register know it is prime rib, and the price. This bar code will probably get reused if the price matches another package.…

Roasted chick peas are awesome.... but I can't keep those around. I frequently have a Quaker Chewy granola bar, about 100 calories. It fills me up, and usually if I am short of calories at the end of the day it is enough to put me over. A few spoonfuls of Greek yogurt. I like roasted seaweed snacks as well, these really…

There are a few on-line walking/treadmill calculators if you want to compare results. (Search for more) https://42.195km.net/e/treadsim/ http://www.shapesense.com/fitness-exercise/calculators/walking-calorie-burn-calculator.shtml I have found that the Cybex treadmills at my local Planet Fitness are close to the on-line…

This is actually a scale victory, I celebrated my sisters birthday yesterday, we had some steak on the grill, potatoes and of course cake and ice cream. The NSV: I controlled myself, I was over in my protein, under in my fat and carbs. SV: I know that there is a lot more to weight fluctuations than a one day to compare but…

@mrschwarten, when I visited a registered dietitian she suggested preparing and cooking my meals for the week on the weekend, heating them up as I ate them during the week. We are all busy with life but if you have some free time you might want to try preparing your dishes ahead of time, accurately measuring the…

Not all of the states put the weight on the license. The height is probably required but the weight is not required.

Don't cook it! :)

Does cranberry juice count as a food? I can't remember a day when I didn't have a glass in the morning. Ice tea for the rest of the day.

Twice I had two+ weeks of not losing weight. Be patient, this too shall pass. One thing I had to do is refocus on making sure I was logging everything, I started getting sloppy and wasn't logging it all.

@SunStarMoon47 , if you make your own homemade, cut back the sugar, use skim milk, and egg whites it is only about 150 calories per serving and still good. http://www.quakeroats.com/cooking-and-recipe/golden-corn-bread

You are correct, you need the real butter.... not that fake spread crap. I don't want the tomato soup, just the grilled cheese. My sister who is several years older than me used to make Velveeta grilled cheese and chocolate milk for me. Not as comforting but okay in its own way.

I have been craving a grilled cheese sandwich.... I am talking about the basic no frills grilled cheese, white bread and plastic cheese (a.k.a American Kraft Singles). Two slices of white bread: 190 calories, 1g of fat, 148.5mg of sodium Three slices of American 2% Milk Slices: 210 calories, 15g of fat, 810mg of sodium.…

I was a long time Pepsi drinker, had a bottle everyday. About two years ago I started getting sick of the overly sweetness of soda and just started cutting back. I still had a ginger ale now and again but the Pepsi just didn't go over well. After a while I realized I liked the fizzy more than the sweet and started drinking…

Your base calories are the minimum you need to still lose weight and stay healthy. Most days I can stay just under my base calories and not be hungry. Lately however I have increased my exercise and have started to eat a portion of my exercise calories back because I am hungry.
