I agree, and I'm not saying it should be. For the most part, I don't care about timing, but if I have the option of having a big meal later today vs a few smaller ones... I would probably lean toward the big meal, given the evidence that seems to exist. It may not make a difference for me, given that I'm not training…

If you have alternative studies with alternative "scenarios," please feel free to post them up.

I agree completely. I titled the thread the way I did because I know how it attracts so many people... hopefully to facilitate some discussion.

Who's to say the dumbbell is accurate? Precision is all that really matters, not accuracy.
-
I see what you did there.

That's my favorite too. How much do you get it for?

Screw that. My wife and I purposely chose a king sized bed for this reason. When it's time to sleep after the extra curricular activities, we need our own space.

Ha, that's a good quote.

The tastes vary wildly and everyone has their preference. I'd recommend trying a few different brands to see what you like. Just check the nutritional info to make sure it fits your requirements. Popular brands I've tried (no particular order): Syntha-6 (best tasting IMO, but less protein per calories) Optimum Nutrition…

I like them a lot... but I wouldn't consider them filling. I'm guessing I could kill a whole box (6 bars?) in a single sitting. I've been getting snickers marathon lately (caramel nut rush). While the macros aren't ideal, the taste, filling, and price make them my favorite bar.

Probably b/c summer time is here/close and people think they can fix years of bad habits in a matter of weeks.

I've been doing this for 415 days rather consistently. I have no problems tracking food, but working out will always be a pain. I'd usually rather not work out... but if I skip a workout here or there, I mentally (and somewhat physically) feel bad. It's not guilt or anything... I suppose it makes me feel unproductive and…

I agree. Personally, I never track my workouts... just my calories and weight. After a month of data, I've got a really good idea what my maintenance calories are based on my weight loss and average caloric intake.

This is why emergency rooms exist.

First post? Yeah no thanks.

What do you have your macros set at? By the way, I would recommend using this link to edit your macros more precisely. It lets you select your macros in 1% increments, or by grams. Basically, add this link as a bookmark, and when you're on the edit goals page... click the link... then you can select your macros like a pro.…

Thanks. I've actually done it twice. Once in the avatar, and once again recently. I started at 200, cut to 170, bulked to 200, and cutting again now (currently at 182).

Pills don't work.

Yeah, it also doesn't help that it's on the forum nearly every single day.

I didn't think to measure then... I wasn't sure I'd stick with it long enough to see results. Not only that, I don't think the free methods for calculating body fat are all that accurate or consistent. With that said, I do estimate my body fat using tape and a few equations (I average them together to get a decent number).…

I used to think sandwiches were the most boring thing on the planet... until I started heating them in a george foreman grill. I gladly take a sandwich every day to work now (yeah I keep the grill at my desk).

Yeah, it's that simple.

54. I figured it would be higher.

Thanks!

This took me about 4 months, zero cardio.

Meh... personally I prefer reoccurring topics over super old thread resurrection. Also, once a topic hits more than a few dozen posts... I'm more likely to ignore it because the quoting feature in this forum leaves a lot to be desired. The 10+ deep nested quotes burn my eyes.

Hopefully I'll have one to post in a few months, until then...

Hold the phones... there are mean people on the interwebs?

Can you expand on this further? Specifically, your thoughts on capitalism in the U.S. and how it serves us. Of course, the problem boils down to who is defining what "well regulated" means.
