I will say too though, that I was nervous after watching it. The cost of ALL organic and ONLY grass fed had me nervous. I started anyway, regular store bought meat because that’s what is in the budget at the moment. I already have lost 15-18 lbs depending on the day and my brain fog had gotten so much better. I have…

I loved it too! My essential oil mentors had always told me “Yes, Sara, eat the butter.” Especially when I was pregnant and craved it and licked the packages while at work 😂 they always told me your brain is made of fat and NEEDS fat. I knew that as I had studied anatomy and physiology. I used butter and coconut oil in…

I have had to get very assertive with my own father that certain topics are no longer up for discussion with him. If some day I want his opinion or advice then Iwill find him, otherwise, I don’t want to hear it.

Reading, travel. I don’t have much of an attention span lately though. I did manage a couple road trips this summer, despite the crappy budget. I like to watch Friends and documentaries.

I didn’t even think about Alfredo. Yummmmm!

I agree! When I tried weight loss in the past, I whined “But I loooooooove my carbs” and refused to give them up. Now I see they aren’t even worth it! The awesome part... I am finally NOTICING how my body feels when I allow it. The inflammation when I allow crap as a cheat. I wake up hurting all night long. When I stick to…

I couldn’t figure out how to send you a friend request. I became a SAHM when I had my 7th kid Feb 2016. She’s the 3rd I gave birth to. I have 35 pounds I still would like to lose. The kids still at home are ages 10-2. It doesn’t make getting exercise in a challenge. I am hoping I can get moving more when school is back in…

I am 38, or will be in Oct. can I join? I have always related more to people older than me. Well except my babies are young. The younger 2 are the same age as my grands 😳

Aaaaaaand apparently I don’t know how to quote then add my own stuff 🙄

Perfect topic for me. I am the queen of giving up. On weight loss. On reading books. Quitting jobs, my business. College. All relationships until my husband and kids. This time I want things to be different. It’s far beyond weight loss at this point. I have 7 kids (3 that I gave birth to). The youngest 2 are age 4 and 2…

Great post! Negative thinking has been soooooo deeply ingrained in me since childhood. I a reading the book You Are a Badass right now and trying to learn to stop expecting so little of myself. Hope everyone is having a good week.

My small one was giving up Dr Pepper. I just couldn’t bear the thought of giving it up. Then I got this app and logged it. 1 can? Waaaaaay too much carbs and sugar. The next day, drank half my daughter’s. Still too much. The day after, just a quarter of hers again. Then I finally decided it wasn’t worth it if weight loss…

No pasta. I was specifically logging the sauce. I used spiraled zucchini to go with it. Despite skipping the corn starch and sugar, the sauce is far more carbs than I would have imagined.

Thanks! The good thing is that I have learned that it is ok to be wrong. Even better if someone takes the time to correct me. I can’t learn if I don’t listen.

I don’t add milk to my scrambled eggs. Then there was spaghetti with meat sauce. I made it homemade, googled the seasoning and skipped the corn starch and sugar. It was still a bunch of carbs.

Makes sense, like I say, it sounded too good to be true anyway. Oh well. I will stick with my 30-40 min exercise sessions. I have no desire to do a marathon.

I read once that any exercise after 30 minutes burns straight fat for energy. Not sure if that is true. For that reason, I try to do 30-40 minutes on my elliptical, then go straight into whatever muscle group I am working that day.

I welcome friends also. I am attempting keto after seeing my sister’s success. It’s been a challenge due to some other health issues. Accountability has been great on here, and I am loving the app!

I am interested in it, but have just focused on lowering carbs instead. If I can’t have potatoes, I at least want sweet potatoes 🍠

No advice, but congrats! How exciting!

I was going to say, like the chart above mentions, you may need to see a doctor to rule out thyroid issues that will make weight loss difficult. Also be sure to really look at your macros and sugar throughout the day. Sugar is awful, and I am the worst sugar addict ever, so I know for sure that it packs the pounds on and…

That sounds like a great start. You could always do walks on non-gym days. Every bit counts, even if it is only an extra 15-20 minutes of walking. Plus the sunshine would be good for you too.

Since using the app, I have made my goal 10%. I don’t know the number of grams. I would like to be less than 10%, but it’s been a big struggle for me.
-
Same! I wish instant gratification were more realistic than it is.

Drinking enough water. I had been addicted to Dr Pepper and Mcalisters Deli half and half tea before getting the app and realizing that it isn’t worth it on a daily basis. So I just don’t drink anything most of the time now

Upper 30’s here and my youngest child is 2. Not sure if it is giving birth to 3 babies, or the age, but losing weight this time has been much more difficult than it used to be.
