  • I don't necessarily have something inspiring but rather a question for you because you've come to a better mentality. I've noticed in myself recently that my issue isn't specifically weight-related. It's more of a confidence issue. I had to look at myself honestly in the mirror the other day and realize 'I'm not fat. I'm…
  • Thank you. Being fit with bipolar disorder is hard. During my manic phases I tend to lose alot of weight regardless if I'm attempting because I'll spend hours exercising when I can't sleep and I'll hardly eat anything because I'm not longer hungry. So when I am depressed and start to gain it back I get really discouraged.
  • Random update: I was really worried about this being a physical health issue when it was brought to my attention that it's a mental one. After not sleeping in over 24 hours without even feeling sleepy as well as alot of other symptoms, I had to realize that this is indeed the results of a manic episode (I have bipolar 2)…
  • Thank you. As probably noticeable from my responses, I'm not really clear on how best to eat yet. Thank you for clearing some of that up for me. I'm still feeling my way around food. I was kind of raised in an environment that made me feel bad for eating (like anything I ate was criticized no.matter what it was) so…
  • In all honesty, I don't take the time to exercise how I would like. However, I do spend most of my work-day on my feet, lifting heavy things etc. At times I can spend 10-16 hours working with little to no breaks. So I am fairly active, more so than I was before. That may be one of the reasons?
  • Thank you, I'll be more mindful of that. I do eat avocado and peanutbutter sometimes but maybe I should try and find some other foods with fat content.
  • This has been going on for about a month. I'm a very short girl and my weight is at the upper end of a healthy BMI for my age and height. However, I honestly haven't weighed myself in a few weeks because I only weigh in at the doctors so I'm not 100% sure. Physically, I've been slimming down at a seemingly average rate.…
  • I'm not very heavy, just a few pounds over what I want. So that's why this confuses me. I'm not trying to eat less than the recommendation for my weight but most days it just happens. Is it better to incorporate some 'unhealthy' foods for the added calories or just to make my meals larger? I'm not really sure how to go…
  • Feel free to add me if you'd like

  • Became vegetarian because of health issues as a child and looking to improve my health. Would love to be added by anyone wanting to motivate each other. I would also be thrilled to hear about tips for a vegan lifestyle. I haven't decided on going 100% vegan yet but most of the time I don't eat animal products anyway.
  • I'm willing to be an accountability partner!

  • I grew up in an emotionally abusive household where I was always harassed for being chubby. I lost alot of weight as a kid then out of fear due to inappropriate attention I gained some of it back. Now my petty reason is to literally throw it back in people's faces. I want to be considered STRONG. Not either fat or petite…
  • I have the same exact problem. For me, adding chick peas to almost any meal has been helpful. I usually eat 2 meals a day due to not wanting to eat at 3-4am but even keeping a baggie of roasted nuts or chickpeas on days where I know I didn't eat enough has been helpful for myself.
