  • Good luck, and make sure you stay properly hydrated! Broths, stocks, ketorade, powerade zeros, etc. It'll make keto flu much better to handle. That salt loss can hit hard 2-3 days in otherwise.

  • 12.1 miles / 35:53 / 420 calories That’s my last bike session for this year. Happy 2019 to all and good luck in the new year! May your times be low and your burned calories high.
  • Started 07/15: 174.0kg/383.6lbs Ended 12/31: 135.5kg/298.8lbs Goal met. Last goal post in 2018. See y'all in 2019.
  • 14.6 miles / 43:01 / 500 calories Decided to take it easy tonight.
  • There's a ton of info on it out there. What specifically are you having trouble finding? I've delved deep into it before. The base of 40 is 3 x 10 net carb meals, and 2 x 5g net carb snacks. 15g of those from veggies, 0 from protein, 0 from fats, and 25g of that from other sources. Here's a page on it.…

  • 12 / 36:55 / 400 calories Ended up getting back on the bike after stretching. I didn’t like being over my calories for the day. 34.9 miles / 1:50:23 / 1100 calories total That’s enough for one night.
  • 22.9 miles / 73:28 / 700 calories Went out to celebrate with family. I ended up around a thousand calories over my daily goal. Figured I’d burn a chunk of them off on the bike.
  • Most of these don't use yeast in the recipe, so you can just mix it by hand or by stand, and bake it in a loaf pan or whatever you have, in the oven. Alternatively, most breadmakers I've used have had some sort of mix function for general mix baking. So if his has that, you can just cook using that, remove the stirrer, and…
  • I use a chrome extension to track mine through tamper monkey, from the /r/keto subreddit's sidebar. But generally, just subtract fiber and you'll get used to doing the fast math.

  • For me, not eating sweets was the better move. I'm assuming you're trying to change habits long term if you're going on keto and plan to stay with it. Keto desserts can be just as bad at triggering food issues as anything else. Cutting them out for a few months was much easier to introduce some later on, especially when…
  • Thanks, I appreciate it! My end goal is to live life in Onederland, as it's called. I'm days from arriving at Twodor village though. I hope I don't live there too terribly long on my journey. 12/25/2018: 138.0kg/304.2lbs - 36.01kg/79.4lbs lost since 15 July, 2018. If I didn't lose another kg/pound this year.. I'd be okay…
  • Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! I didn't hit my insanely unrealistic goal of 136kg/299.99lbs. But I am at 138.0/304.2lbs, so who cares? This has all be a giant victory for my waistline, my confidence, and my general well being. Here's hoping everyone else hit their goals, or got close like I did. Here's hoping…
  • I never really figured I'd hit anywhere near my goal. I would be there already if not for my November turkey day and test before. Still, I'm chuffed to be so close to my pipe dream of a goal. When I first started with this, I was 154.13kg/339.8lbs.. Fast forward to now: Sunday 07/15: 174.00kg/383.6lbs Sunday 12/02:…
  • Burger King Bacon King without bun. Adding a standard spinach salad to the mix, and it's my christmas eve meal.
  • 10 miles / 30:00 / 341 calories Morning biking sucks.
  • It gets easier with time. Just read labels, be honest with your logging, and stick with it. Once you get fat adapted, you'll never want to go back to high carb. Good luck and keep on keto'ing on!
  • When I see people talk about that sort of weight.. I just sigh and go "someday, hopefully soon". I've never been 200lbs as an adult. That would be a trip.
  • 2lbs a week is a good and likely a safe loss for anyone to strive for. Keep with it and think long term. Short term focus doesn't help what should be a lifestyle switch if you want to keep the weight off.
  • Yeah.. the pictures are my NSV moment. Looking through old photos on my check-in page and I couldn't realize how much my face went down.. 2.72kg/6lbs off my New Year's Day goal weight and it's been a crazy trip 161 days into keto.

  • My first 8 weeks was 17.5kg/38.6lbs. Seems to be common enough for large folks doing keto/low carb with strict keto and tracking though. It does slow down as you go. Since then, I've only lost 17.2kg/38lbs. That's less weight lost in 15 weeks compared to the first 8. This is not to say I am disappointed. 23 weeks and…
  • Ground beef patty, a cup chopped turnip greens, and a tablespoon of better than bouillon Was in a blah mood today. Didn't feel like cooking.
  • 9.4 miles / 30:00 minutes / 290 calories Not bad for an off night where I was forcing myself to ride slow. Wasn’t even going to ride tonight.
  • 13 miles / 36:56 / 481 calories My heart is pounding.
  • 13 miles / 38:17 / 457 calories That same off feeling near the glute. Called it for the night. Not gonna push and tear. I was riding at 25 (max) and doing 60-80 rpm. That’s pushing hard.
