300 in 30: Day 01 010 Miles - 31:53 3 x 10 Reps Squats -Starting a personal goal of doing 300 miles of rides in May. Basically 10 miles for 30 of 31 days, with my birthday off.

Ketoloaf, big spinach salad.

10 miles 5 x 10 Reps Squats Haven’t been able to bike for a week+ now. Went 22-26mph that ride. Endorphins flooding me.
-
Instead of the usual 3 digits of weight left until my goal, the scale read only 2 digits of weight to go today. Pretty pleased at that. 52% done according to MFP.

100 minutes more outside doing yard work. Cutting down trees, clearing brush, etc.

10 miles biking, 2 x 10 reps Squats

10 miles | 30:58 10 x 10 reps Squats My legs are dead.

I had 210lbs to lose to the goal I set. I’ve lost more than half of that weight. Being over 50% done is my NSV today. Not bad for starting last July. I did 10 miles and 100 squats for my workout today, along with my normal stretches. Today is NSV for me all around. I’d have been passed out if I tired all this a year ago.…

5 hours 22 minutes outside working at the house. Glad I stayed off the bike today.

10 miles @ 28:32 5 x 10 reps Squats

10 miles @ 28:37 Nice to be back on the bike after a week off. Could have pushed so much harder. Felt like a great ride. 5 x 10 reps Squats at start/finish and 2.5 mile marks.

4.75 hours of cutting, stacking, sorting lumber from felled trees. Had to clean up a bit to open up so much more space. The last 1-2 hours was more clearing brush. I'm getting close to done with this part of my land. Maybe 1-2 more weeks. Hopefully before the full spring blowout.. which is in full effect. I'm gonna see the…

5 hours in the yard. First cut post winter in the pasture and the lawn is a headache with the rain and spring-in-january/february/march weather we had. Glad this week is a rest week from the bike. I'd be dead trying to do all that after the bike.

If you're doing 30 net, that opens up so many killer southern cooking options, like fried cabbage and kielbasa, if that's a type of food you know of. So many carbs, but freakin' delicious home cooking.

Just keep the carbs under 20, track everything you eat, and keep your salts up (google ketorade) during the keto flu. Soup stock, bouillion, bone broth, etc is great for that. Good luck, the hunger pangs pass, I swear! Once you're into ketosis and fat adapted, you start eating less and less frequently. It's why a lot of…

You're about 1.5lbs lighter than I was last July. Have you considered doing Keto? If you're already on board the low carb train, it just a step further. LC will see you go into ketosis every now and then. Anyway, it made all the difference for me. Good luck with whatever path you take! I hope you find what works long term…

2.5 more hours clearing brush. I really really really wanted to be biking. 3 days off the bike is horrible. Keep doing everything else to keep myself off the bike and overdo the rest days in other and harder ways. :(

Most recent NSV: Back over 102+ down. Have hit 100-105 a few times recently, but steadily trending down while building a ton of muscle along the way. Hopefully I'll be posting here this month about hitting 106lbs down, my halfway point.
-
3 hours clearing land. Seeing major progress. Muscles gotta have a major break. Good thing this week is a bike-free rest week.
-
6+ hours clearing a hill.
-
2 hours clearing trees and moving them up a hill, clearing brush, etc. Taking a break, fueling up, and going back out soon enough.

I appreciated listening to this talk between Joe Rogan and Dr. Peter Attia. They do talk about stress and such that can prevent weightloss. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiQevGDPgRY

I never got a caff type of kick from them when I used them. They're quite good though. I was using them for the vitamins specifically. Be careful putting them into a bottle and closing the lid. They do fizz and the gas released must go somewhere.

Potential magnesium deficiency. I just take mag supplements daily and eat good dark greens. Sadly for me, I get migraines from cacao and most chocolate products. Speaking of Kefir.. I'm gonna miss that this summer. Super cold bottle of Kefir when it's 35+ outside is the best. It's a blob of cold goo that chills you out.

10 miles @ 29:52 - 20mph average speed 5 x 10 reps Squats Might go out and clear land some more, or just continue to try and not overdoing it. Almost did 10 more miles last night..

Trying eating dinner that much later. I've had intermittent issues of needing more calories and the dreaded later evening boredom hunger. Pushing dinner to 20:00-21:00 really seems to help. Snacking always leads me to trouble. If I need a meal, I need a meal.

10 miles @ 30:56 5 x 10 reps Squats Might do some upper body work later
