How some of us will feel when we step on the scales in the next few days!

I’ve lost 4 lbs since Thanksgiving so I’m feeling good about that. The next 8 days will be family and food and I’m going to eat what I want and go for walks. After that it’s back to being diceplened.

I’m still here. Down 3 pounds since Thanksgiving so doing well through the holidays. Next 3 weeks I have a birthday and 3 family Christmas’s so we will see.

Panda Express. One item bowl, grilled teriyaki and veggies. 380 calories. Just don’t eat the teriyaki sauce. I use one packet of soy sauce for the veggies. Add one fortune cookie for 20 calories.

You can me. I’m 54 post menopausal and have lost 28 lbs in the past 135 days and need to lose about another 20. Several ladies will tell you it’s harder at this time of life to lose weight, but I don’t agree. While it hasn’t been smooth sailing, learning what a proper portion size has been the best thing that I could ever…

I have 1320 calories/day but usually eat 1200. I’ve been with MFP since July and have lost 25lbs. My diary is open to friends so that might help you get some ideas. Sending you a friends request.

Hi All! Hope you are having a great weekend. Hubby and I are getting ready for some college football and that always means snacks! We have revamped our normal menu. We now eat shrimp, turkey cocktail weinies with no surgar added BBQ sauce, chicken bites with Buffalo dipping sauce, veggies, baked chips and dip. All the…

You are 5’2” and weigh 122 lbs. Your BMI is 22.5 which is right in the middle of the healthy range. You have had a lot of emotional trauma in your life, losing 8 lbs is not going to help with that. I suggest you bring this topic up with your therapist.

I’m not knocking exercise, but you don’t have to exercise to lose weight. You just have to eat at a calorie deficit. I’ve lost 22 lbs since July 23 just by watching what I eat. I’m 53 years old and have another 25 lbs to go.

Let me preface my rant with the fact that I really love my husband and I’m happy he has joined me on MFP. I hate that I do all the meal planning, shopping, building the recipes in MFP, and cooking. I then portion out what I’ve cooked and post, on the refrigerator, the calories in each serving. Not to mention that he has at…

Orphia, Thanks for reactivating this topic. I’m 53 (very close to 54!). I have been post menopausal for 5 years. I’m 5’2” and have lost 22lbs (half way point) since July 23rd. I have 1320 cal/day. I’ve lost the weight by counting calories, no set exercise routine. I do plan on starting to lift in the next few weeks (I need…

Hi All, Just checking in. Had a major NSV this weekend. It was my hubby’s 55 birthday and he wanted to goto the casino. What is at Casios you ask? All you can eat buffets. Well I ate peel and eat shrimp, greenbeans, tomatoes, potstickers, more shrimp, tilapia, and sugar free peach pie and I STAYED WITHIN MY CALORIE…

My 25 year old son started losing weight and I didn’t want to be heavier than him.

I was just thinking about this topic today. Haven’t seen the family since May, but will see them for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I’ve lost 30lbs since June and hopping to lose 5 more before Thanksgiving. I really want to Wow them as they don’t know I’ve lost the weight. I’m really hoping to stay in control so they know…

Love Maxine! I’ve lost 31 lbs (22 with MFP) and just this morning I noticed some new wrinkles and that my neck is looking more turkeyish. Oh well, fat might be natures Botox, but I’ll take a slimmer me with wrinkles over flabby me with smoothish skin!

I’m still here! Just been extremely busy...I hit 29 lbs lost this week. I’m over half way to goal!

I’m a perfect 10! Hubby took me shopping yesterday as he was tired of looks at my baggy *kitten* pants. Made the rounds of the discount stores. I was a tight 14 but the pants I got were all 10’s and they are perfect.

When shopping for clothes: “I need a smaller size”

Hot Damn! Today I’m officially just fat! My BMI is below 30!!!

Hi All! ✋🏻 Been awhile since I’ve checked in. Another shortie here 5’2” and post menopausal at 53. I’m down 26lbs from my highest. Still have a ways to go but the weight is going! I don’t have a set exercise routine, like many others I just try to move more throughout the day. My hubby has jumped on the MFP bandwagon so it…

I’m 53 been on MFP for two months now and have lost 13lbs. In my experience if you don’t want to goto the gym then it’s not your thing! Find something that you like to do, walk the neighborhood, dance to music in the privacy of your own home, referee youth soccer, the possibilities are endless. When you find something that…

Hi LongtermPlan! Just accepted your friend request! You have done a wonderful job at getting the weight off! It’s I who need your support/motivation! I’m 53 and looking at 54 this December. Kathleen

I am not trying to be mean, but fasting sets you up for failure. Your body needs fuel even if you are sitting around all day. Instead of fasting just try logging, as accurately as you can, all the foods you eat in a week. You will then start to see patterns. Once you understand your patterns you can start modifying them to…

Absolutely! My favorite snack is Greek Yogert. High in protein. I eat light & fit 80 calorie Greek yogert by dannon. Love all of the flavors.

I read the same article! I have found that a good macro count for me is 33%, 33%, 33%. I don’t try to hit this on purpose, it’s just what I eat. I am more concerned with keeping my surgar grams down.

You already have joined the group by posting. Welcome!

I really don’t think your hubby was trying to sabotage you. Mine used to say the same types of things. “In the moment” I just say no thank you and move on. When we get to a point where we can talk I tell him how I feel and he does the same. 100% of the time he doesn’t even realize what he has done. He truly supports what I…
