Thanks ladies for the tips.

That’s a really great loss. I would say, don’t try to work out more, just do what you can and expect it’s going to be a flat week or even a one pound gain. Patience is really challenging but more sustainable. Plus, if you are in pain, you could make it worse. I have gone up a pound twice but overall I am down 12.

Of course you should celebrate! You’ve earned it. I went from Fat to Chubby and I’m thrilled. No one has noticed, but me. We are our worst critics so we should be our biggest cheerleaders too. I’m on my way from Chubby to Normal. But it will take months so I too am celebrating every three pounds or so.

You should be sooo proud of yourself. That’s amazing and I am inspired by you, so thanks for letting people know. Good luck.

I tried it and it did not one thing for me.

$24! I was happy about that too

But still! You are doing great, one day won’t kill you. Keep up the great work!

I’m in Texas! But try side street cantina at oceanfront. The ceviche is totally light and low cal!

Thanks, I did. It was dinner out at a Mexican place outside on the deck and I was looking forward to it. Tomorrow, hitting the gym and having the usual healthy meals and snacks. Everything is possible!

Welcome! I am a woman veteran as well. I found I used to set up these ridiculous mental traps for myself, which usually involved a plan to run five miles every day starting tomorrow. Yes sure I was capable once upon a time but I had no free time and was not fit enough for that to be realistic. This past month, I try for…

That’s great, Ed! Good luck! It’s great you’re so active. I think the site is really fun and I hope it works for you. When I’m bored I enjoy getting on it and chatting with like minded folks, it’s pretty motivational to see everyone basically in the same boat-striving to improve.

Good luck! I liken it to being a smoker or having some other addiction. If you fell off the wagon, would you quit entirely? No! So just keep trying and you may have detours but you’ll get there and stay there in the end.

If you don’t do light weights, I would try to add them! If you’re not comfortable in a gym, then start out with just your own body weight— like 5 push-ups and build from there. Or take a couple of cans out of your cupboard and do arm circles with them. Muscle burns fat and helps you end the day less tired!

You can add me, I am pretty new but at a weight I haven’t seen since 2016 so really happy as well.

I try to reason with myself. You’re not aiming for a number but a permanent lifestyle change. The numbers may fluctuate, but did you exercise self control? Did you learn a new way to eat? Did you enjoy healthy foods and experiment with healthy foods? If so, that’s what matters most.

Hi there! I am! I just started this on July 2 but I lost ten pounds so far in a really healthy way!
