I must be a real dragon, or else have super friends and family, as no one comments unless it is to say something nice.

I’m among many who put back weight previously lost during the pandemic. It’s been a tough time. I’m trying to look forward, not to dwell on failure.

As a short, older woman, I find that burning 200 calories a day on the treadmill gives me flexibility in my diet which would otherwise be quite constrained. Those extra calories mean the difference between feeling deprived and feeling ok. Health benefits are also important, but truthfully, not uppermost in my mind.

It’s similar to my calorie ‘allowance’, but I’m a short, older female. We would need to know more about you to give you any advice.

I’ve had the first jab. once I’ve had the second I shall visit my sisters - I haven’t seen them for a year. Haircut as I look like a yak. Then later in the year a trip to Tunisia I hope!

Feeling motivated by all your stories. I'm 60, lost 50 lbs in the last few years but have put a lot back on. I'm starting a swimming challenge in January and am just going to get back on the plan. I will NOT buy bigger sized clothes😊

Sounds like you have a very busy life, so fitting in more exercise might be difficult. How about making maximum use of your walking by including some hills, and varying the pace. Good luck.

The strange phenomenon of people who would never have dreamed of commenting on my weight pre diet, who now feel they can comment on things I eat which are within my calorie allowance but may not fit their idea of what you can eat and lose weight

Apart from anything involving latex or cling film, I've probably done all of these things plus I've put on 20 lbs in the last six months. Ah well, I'm only human, the gym and the kitchen scales beckon..........

I aim to burn 500 per visit to the gym including cycling to it. No idea if this is normal, it just feels 'enough' for me, takes as long as I want to spend, and gives me some extra calories to eat.
