  • Yippee!!!! SO happy for you! I'm 53 and never went more than a week either but I started this journey on Sept 23rd, 2019 and have not stopped since! Every little thing is a victory for YOU, celebrate it, rock it, you got this!!
  • 38 lbs is amazing!!!! I've lost 33.2 as of this morning & nobody has noticed yet, I'm afraid if I say something that I too will get a negative comment. I have a LONG way to go also so those I'm around every day don't notice yet. BUT I do and I know YOU do also, little things like walking & climbing stairs are getting…
  • Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • YES it's SO worth it!!! Our local YMCA is $62 per month, which includes locker rental so I can leave all my soaps & such there. I swim every morning before, work for an hour & do water exercises & sometimes I do some machines in the gym. When I joined I checked my utility bill & found that it was down an average of $30 per…
  • Not digging into the bakery goods that seem to find their way in to work every day! 5 weeks & have not had a one, personal victory!!
  • I too tried & failed a million times over, never made it more than a week before I gave in. This time is different, you have to find your "reason" for wanting to be fit. Me, I made a list of things I wouldn't miss about being 342.8 lbs. Once I was done I cried, serious bawling, I was so tired of being the "fat" one in a…
  • GREAT job!!! I just got my first 10 lb loss on Monday, lots more to go, keep up the good work!!

  • try www.allrecipes.com or even http://www.eatingwell.com/ they both have excellent recipes that I've used quite a bit. If you create an account on Allrecipes.com you can save them to your recipe box, free too.
  • ALWAYS do my meal prep on Sunday while watching football. 99% of the time it's a baked chicken thigh (boneless skinless) that I've marinaded beforehand. Now that it's squash season I'm addicted to parmesan spaghetti squash so I load up on that!!! Throw in a few roasted brussel sprouts for color too :) Now I'm hungry!!!
  • Protein shake with SF Butterscotch pudding mix & peanut butter = Delicious!!! Unsalted pistachio's for a snack. Supposed to snow later today, but skies are gorgeous right now!!!
  • I was in your same shoes for YEARS!!! I'd bring a healthy lunch to work & then someone mentions pizza, what do I do??? Almost every day there is some sort of goodie by the coffee pot, and I would indulge. It was never a small amount, always at least 2 servings if not more. THEN I had my "ah ha" moment when booking flights…
  • I've had both hips replaced in the last 2 yrs & of course gained weight post-surgery, I've found the best exercise (for me) is swimming!! Start out slow & slowly you can add working with water-weights or maybe join a water aerobics class. The YMCA is perfect, mine here opens at 5:30am so I go every day before work, it's a…
  • Maybe it's time to change up the snacks that are served to the family & friends? Not saying the kids can't have chips, but why not make it pita chips (very simple to make homemade) and low fat dips or even hummus? If you make things homemade & have the kids help they are more likely to eat it too, I've done this with the…
  • I do not weigh my food, but I do measure and if I have to eyeball something I'd say that I log probably more than what I really do consume. I do a lot of food prep and measure out what I put in each container for lunches during the week so that is super easy to do. Dinner is always a salad during the week also, easy to…
