Sorry for the triple NSV but I just keep finding them! I was flipping out feeling a hard spot on my chest thinking it was a tumor (I have had 2 benign tumors in the past 10 years in my lung/throat area). But I realized it was just the bones in my chest that were too much fat covering before. Lol

Um....just a question...but doesn't the debate end when you stop responding? 🤔

Diet is more important than exercise for weight loss. Exercise is for health, diet/nutrition is for weight loss. As long as your calories out are greater than calories in, you can eat whatever you want to lose weight. I don't know what your cheat weekends consist of but that's probably what is doing you in. That is if you…

Exactly! And honestly from my personal observation, I've seen more fit people wearing them than not.

As mentioned, everyone is different. I lost close to 50 lbs in the first 3.5 months, then 10 more lbs and then 15lbs more over the next 5-6 months. Only lost 50lbs in the beginning so fast because of a super intense calorie restricted diet that was medically necessary and medically monitored before I could get a surgery…

A coworker just asked me why I was wearing a fitness tracker because I'm already "skinny." I'm in by no means skinny....but the fact she noticed I was smaller made me crazy happy. But side note, fitness trackers are for everyone any size.

Congratulations! Huge amount of dedication right there!

My Mom said I look like I'm at my high school weight. I'm actually 20lbs away from that if memory serves me, but still made me smile. Closest to high school weight I've been since undergrad which was...8 years ago. :#

This^^^ Reminds me of when my professor was teaching the idea that cause doesn't equal correlation. The example was ice cream and murder (this was a criminology class lol) The sale of ice cream is high during the summer, and more murders occur during the summer. But that doesn't mean that people who buy ice cream become…

Can't hurt in the sense that you won't die from drinking it....but it won't help either. So if you like sour things, then drink it for that reason. :s

I quit regular soda one day at a time. Dr. Pepper may as well have been running in my veins. And don't even mention Barqs Root Beer to me, because my nose would start twitching, my arms itching, possibly some drooling. lol But now I'll have the occasional Coke-No Sugar (IDK if that's the same or just a different label than…

I attempted to as well but alas I gave up. Lol sorry I know that wasn't helpful info.

pumpkin spice coffee creamer!!!!! I bought 8 big bottles before last year ended and froze them. I think I had pumpkin spice creamer until May. That's the end of my obsession.
-
Right, I just worry a little obsessively that I will miscalculate exactly how many calories are really being burned and how accurate my food calories are. But I'm getting a food scale so that should help eliminate some uncertainty.

I've wear a smartwatch but I don't eat back calories burned during exercise. I have been losing 2lb a week on average.

The only way I can do 10k a day is by walking 15 minutes 5x a day. Which if I didn't have a dog, then I don't think I'd be able to do that. lol My dog forces me to be active every day when I don't want to be.

More so than your calorie allotment, it's a little concerning that you say your sister "allows" you to eat or not eat certain things. Doesn't seem like a healthy situation or relationship for you. Sorry if that was too personal or prying. And I know it's easier said than done, but you shouldn't let yourself be mistreated…

I think it depends on your starting weight. The bigger you are, the more that is ok to lose at a faster pace. I started at about 100lbs overweight also. When I weighed 265, I lost 20lbs my first month. My doctor was monitoring it, and was comfortable with that. Of course every body is different, but in general the smaller…

My job does the same. If they can find a way to have a party, however small that reason they will. And party=potluck. We've had 5 full fledged parties and 3 smaller cake only parties in the past few months. It's like a catch 22, don't go and people think you're anti-social or go and torture/exercise your self control…

Oh man this x10. I used to work at a psych hospital and this patient asked me if I was pregnant. It's funny in retrospect. I couldn't get upset either since he was severely mentally ill and had 0.000 of a filter. But sheesh, question was unexpected!

That sounds like a wonderfully enjoyable breakfast. Doesn't matter what you eat, as long as it fits into your calorie limit.
-
Are you following the MFP calorie input? If it gives you 2900 calories and you exercise say 400 calories then you are "supposed" to eat the net calories. For example: 2900(goal cal)-2900(actual cal. met)+400(Exercise cal)=3300 calories should be ate a day. That is assuming you actually burned 400 calories in that scenario,…

Same age and same type of issue. I have chronic back pain from surgery induced scoliosis  Feel free to add me as well!

I do some sort of combo of bike, elliptical and treadmill for an hour. Either Elliptical for 15min/Bike for 15min/treadmill for 20min or Elliptical for 30 min and treadmill for 30min. I use a smartband that claims I burn around 180 calories on the treadmill, and 180 on the elliptical (if I do that for 30 minutes). So…

When I first started, I lost 20lbs the first 2 months and then 10lbs the 3rd and 4th. But that was from drastically limiting my calories (under medical guidance) in order to have surgery. 20lbs loss can be just water weight? Wow

@kshama2001 Also that is the best explanation I've seen of the calorie intake question. Bookmarked it. thanks!
