Invisalign and Maintaining weight
Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I'm looking for help on foods I can eat to maintain weight. I have been maintaining for almost a year, no problem on 1900 calories. But I just started Invisalign treatment and my dentist wants me to keep the trays in for 23.5 hours a day! :o So that's 30 minutes total to eat…

Recomp or Still Weight Loss?
I've gotten to my goal weight since end of December 2018. I've been maintaining there successfully. I still have a little stomach that I'm trying to lose. I know I can't spot reduce, but I don't know if I should just eat at maintenance and lift like I've been doing or if I should still eat at deficit until my stomach gets…

Macros keep changing depending on the day on MFP
Not sure if anyone else noticed, but I couldn't find any similar threads out there. I noticed that my macros, specifically my protein because that's the one I'm most concerned about, will change. One day it will be at 90g then the next day it will be at 105g. Sometimes it even changes so that in the morning it will be 90g…

Changing from cutting to recomp questions
So I'm like 2lbs away from my goal weight. I want to lose 5lb past my goal in order to help provide a "cushion" for any mistakes while figuring out recomp/maintenance. But I plugged in my goals from losing 1.5lb a week to maintaining and I dont see how I wont jist gain wait going from 1380cal a week to 2090cal that MFP…

Should I keep my calorie limit the same every day?
I'm having trouble figuring how to make sure I'm in the right deficit. I had set my MFP to active and to lose at 1.5lbs. I chose this because I heard that active is defined as working out 3-5 days a week. I work out 3-4 days a week, and walk 10k steps a day. But my question is...the days I don't work out...should I change…

Dizzy spells
I know....I know this forum isn't the doctor. Lol just want to see if anyone had similar experiences. I have been working out every other day (1 hour cardio/1 hour weights) and 10k steps each day. I eat at least 1450calories a day and I'm 5'5 at 175lbs. I have been working out at this rate for the last 3-4 months. The only…

How to log a work lunch?
My office had a "Holloween Chili Cook-off" today and I dread these office parties because I don't know what's in everything. I tried a little bit of 4 different chili's most likely equallying 2 cups. That can't be more than 600 calories right? Trying to figure out how to log that.

Weight Watchers' New Challenges
Just came across an interesting article that mentioned how new trends are affecting Weight Watcher's program. Specifically noted how a lot of people are moving from processed foods to more natural foods and the impact of apps like My Fitness Pal to their program. Interesting 5 minute read I thought I'd share.…

Pasta Replacement
I have pasta sparingly, because you only get literally a taste at serving size. And I usually eat double the serving size which is over my structured amount of calories with the other parts of the meal. (I like to have 300ish cal for breakfast/300ish cal for lunch and 600 cal for dinner and some small snacks). Does anyone…

Reached my short term goal weight!
This weekend I made my short term goal weight! I decided it would be less daunting to focus on shorter groups of weight loss. I started at 264lbs back in April 2017 then made it to One-derland in July. And this weekend I got to my short term goal of 180lbs And now I can focus on my ultimate weight loss goal of 165lbs. I…

Heart skipped a beat doing weightlifting....just fine with cardio?
I noticed this a couple of times in the past. But yesterday I was doing weights when all of a sudden my heart skipped a beat a couple of times. When I do cardio my heart never does this. I would think that the reverse should have been true. Anyone else experience that?

Seem to be in a rut....increased exercise, no weight loss
I have been working out consistently for past two months. until last week I had set my calorie goal to 1200/day. I wouldn't eat my exercise calories back either. I decided I could probably eat a little bit more, so I changed my limit to 1530/day. (Well MFP set it to that since I changed my activity level from sedentary to…

Anybody use the Letscom Fitness Tracker?
I have been using this watch for about a month now and comparing it to my Samsung Health and Google fit data, it seems fairly accurate. It's supposed to sync with my Google fit, and at first it did, but then it just suddenly stopped syncing. I really want to figure this out, because the watch doesn't sync with MFP so I am…

What's the right activity level to select?
I think I should readjust my calorie limit on here. It's been at 1200 and I keep hearing that only sedentary short females should be at that intake level. So if I'm 5'5, 188lbs, walk 10k steps a day and exercise every other day....would that be lightly active or active? I have a desk job so that's got me thinking lightly…

Is my caloric intake ok?
Does this look ok, or does anyone have a similar intake and see weight loss? I have MFP set to 1200cal a day. I stick to that. I walk 10k steps a day and I do cardio for 1hr and weights for 30-45min every other day. I never eat back all of my exercise calories. I feel like that would just justify me pigging out. I may go…

Chordoma Reoccurence was the best thing that ever happened to me!
"Happy Monday" everyone! lol So while I'm not exactly new to myfitnesspal, I am new to posting. Just wanted to share my story with everyone. So being the all around lucky person I am, I was born with a super slow growing bone tumor called Chordoma. It's really rare and most doctors have no clue what it is, how to…
