  • The 100% people probably use a scale I bet. I try to do stack of playing cards=serving size of meat thing, but that's not an exact science lol. And next time I'll search before posting :)
  • Mine is! I don't follow any specific diet, I just try and eat 300~ calories per meal with the exception of dinner.
  • Great points, I try to overestimate calories. But still, I just need to suck it up and get a scale. I'm a really impatient person, so I get anxious about not losing weight "fast."
  • Good luck! Just take things day by day! You guys got this!!
  • lol reminds me of a phrase I hear a lot of people refer to themselves as. "SlimThick" lol
  • I'm 5'5 and 190lbs. Everyone thinks I'm smaller. They flip out when I say I want to lose 30 more lbs. Though even if I lost that 160lbs is still too heavy for my frame according to medical prof. But I am not trying to be super thin, so I will never purposefully go lower than 160. But I guess I just carry my weight…
  • Friday: Breakfast: Protein Pure Chocolate Deluxe Bar, 2 scrambled eggs, Coffee with hazelnut creamer Lunch: Slow Cooker Sante Fe Chicken with Cauliflower rice and 33oz water Snack: Fuji Apple and Quaker White Cheddar Rice Cake with Vanilla Bean Macaroon Tea Dinner: Big Salad with Perdue shortcuts turkey slices and sesame…
  • NSV for me is would be looking forward to going to the gym and working out. Changing the "having to workout" into a "wanting to workout." :) Though I still have my lazy days of course.
  • @nutmegoreo your profile pic is hilarious btw!
  • Oh ok I see. Well I'm about 190lbs now, but I've been over 200 for the longest so I guess that's why I was fixated on 2lbs. So many ways to go wrong in this!
  • I thought 2 lbs a week was the max amount to lose in a healthy way.... maybe I'll bite the bullet and get a scale.
  • I measure my food with measuring cups and spoons but I don't use a food scale. I've heard the scale can make a big difference but I feel like that would be even more restrictive and time consuming
  • I lose 1 to 2 lbs a week. So nothing crazy
  • 10k steps is considered active
  • dmcgreevy2013 I second what cesse47 says. I think the meal replacement shakes are good initially to kind of jump start your weight loss, but you want to focus on lifestyle maintenance. I did meal replacement shakes for about 5 months for breakfast and for lunch but that was only because I had to lose 60lbs within that time…
  • You sound like you are lactose intolerant. You should see a doctor to get a better idea. That may just be your natural weight. As long as you are eating when you feel hungry and not depriving yourself, I don't think you should force yourself to eat when you are already full just to get a weight your family is comfortable…
  • I have an Instagram account strictly dedicated to weightloss/fitness. Moreso to track my progress than anything. I only follow fitness accounts of "real people" or motivation quotes. I'll look at it to get motivation about going to the gym, and to "psych" myself up. lol Whatever works right?
  • Like everyone has said, counting calories works. It seems obsessive and overwhelming at first. But I've been doing it for so long now I can just about look at something and kind of just now how many calories things are give or take. I draw the line at weighing my food. It helps and would probably help me lose weight…
  • Every morning before I eat anything. I find it keeps me motivated.
  • My periods are usually either completely hit or miss. Its weird, some periods I will feel like death warmed over and hate moving because of the cramps or I won't feel anything. Either way I am "blessed" to have them last 7 days and it's like a cow being slaughtered. So I just try and do what I can. Mainly focus on caloric…
  • Yes! My arm flab is persistent. I call them bat wings lol. I have lost 70 lbs but it seems everywhere except those arms! I started exercising when i lost 40lbs...but mostly cardio. Last 2 months I started weight training. It's only been two months but my arms seem resistant to change! lol I don't know what to do but stay…
  • Welcome! I'm right there with you! It's not easy, especially when all your friends still eat junk and try and peer pressure you lol. Logging is essential! Sometimes I will pre-log my foods so I don't deviate. In my mind, if I deviate from my plan, I'm cheating and lying lol Good luck! I'll add you if I figure out how! :)
