The number 1 mistake I made for my first spartan race was to not prioritize grip strength. I was in great shape for the race but did 120 burpees because I couldn’t do any of the monkey bar challenges. For this race, I’m doing a ton of grip exercises and will practice monkey bars, etc. a lot.

I'm doing my second Spartan race in about 8 weeks. Totally unprepared this time, so I'm grinding out the training and dropping some weight. The first experience (a year ago) was great ... and I learned a ton. Glad to share with the group my take on the race and where I went right/wrong with training.
