  • Hobo dinners and Fajitas are my fav dinners while camping. Pre-make chop everything, wrap it up in foil, through into coals. Enjoy. Bring some corn tortillas and and salsa for the fajita. For hobo dinners, I usually do any and all veggies in the kitchen, plus a small amount of potatoes and meat of choice. Season with…

  • 500 net calories sounds very similar to the quackery that people call the HCG diet. Where they ridiculously restrict calorie intake, give you some bunk supplement, then tout how much weight you lose. Of course people lose weight at 500 calories...you're hair also falls out from nutrient deficiency after a while. Not…
  • Dietitians have much more education and certifications over a nutritionist, so I would recommend a dietitian over nutritionist. They will have more medical experience and understand how your diet might react with any medical conditions you may have. Anytime you look for counseling like that you should do your research and…
  • I got a fitbit surge, which has a HR monitor in it. It will estimate how many calories you burn in circuit training (ie crossfit) and most other exercises outside of swimming. Then I just pick a similar myfitnesspal workout and adjust the time to make equal calories.
  • It took me about 2 months to find the right diamond and then custom design plus have the ring made. Most of the time was spent researching how diamonds are graded, then searching around local shops for a trust worthy dealer. I did all of that in secrecy because I wanted it to be a surprise. We had been dating for a little…
  • Never said people should STOP eating sugar, but you cannot argue that it is anything but bad for you. I eat sugar everyday. I also occasionally have a smoke. Does that mean they are some how magically good for me? NO! Poor sensitive people...I'm taking away your cheetos.
  • A lot of health insurance will charge you more if you are a smoker. I can imagine a day where your eating habits will also directly affect your premiums of healthcare.
  • It is more so the sugar in soda that is bad for you. If you haven't already, you should watch "Fed Up". It is a great documentary on sugars and packaged foods. If you drink a lot of soda, your chances of getting diabetes is higher. If you smoke a lot, your chances of getting lung cancer are higher. Soda is empty calories…
  • I recently got the Fitbit Surge. I both like it and have some reservations with it. What I like:* Heart Rate Monitor built in the wrist. I've used chest straps that pair with a watch, but I didn't like the inconvenience of having to wear the strap. I love being able to see my Heart Rate tracked through the entire day. I…
  • I haven't heard anything about ChaLean X, but I did start Insanity 2 days ago, and I have already lost 4 pounds (mind that I just got back from a big Vegas vacation of eating and drinking). I really like insanity right now. My legs are intensely sore, and feel like I get good workouts. And this is coming from a guy who has…
  • I did an Ironman 70.3 a couple years ago. When I first started training only did focused training. My whole workout would be only swimming, biking or running. Some days I would do two-a-days (swim in the morning, run at night etc). Then as my training progressed and I got closer to the event date I would do brick workouts.…
  • You should switch up your exercise routine. The body, atleast mine, once it gets comfortable doing an exercise doesn't seem to burn lbs from it. Just switch the cardio. If you always to elliptical, try going for a run outside, or swimming laps in the pool. Mix in sprint/jogs, try a set of tabata's with pushups, situps, and…
  • I second the cycle shorts comment. Keeps the nether regions from becoming overly sore. Especially if you don't do much cycling.
  • I tried one on Friday as I happen to have a weakness for Doritos. I thought that the seasoning wasn't the same as a normal dorito, tasted a lot more salty. I could take it or leave it, it wasn't my favorite item there for sure. I am, however, going to hold my breath that the cool ranch loco taco will move itself to top…
  • Yeah I have the same problem. I just ate 6 pieces of pizza ... YES 6 ... for lunch. All of them covered in ranch. But today was the 1 day a week I allow myself to eat out for lunch.

  • Honestly don't flat out ignore a guy. But don't make it so easy and available. That is definitely when I become uninterested in a girl. If she is too easy it makes it seem like she's desperate.
  • Sometimes your optimal running weight doesn't always equate to weighing less. Have you considered that you gained muscle mass from the extra calories? Do you feel your long runs have gotten better or worse? Sometimes you can lose too much weight and your running will slow down.
  • I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure the swell is from your muscles retaining water while they rebuild themselves. When you lift you are basically tearing you muscles up so that they can rebuild themselves bigger.
  • You have to keep in mind that when you first start working out your body begins to build muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat, but muscle also burns more calories. Whenever I first start working out, always have a short period of fast weight loss, then I gain slowly for a week or two. After that I start cutting weight…
  • Try looking at crossfit.com they have a ton of kettlebell workouts with videos to show you proper form. Link directly to kettlebell section: http://www.crossfit.com/cf-info/excercise.html#KBs
  • Handstand push-ups are probably the 2nd hardest thing in CF. I think only the Muscle-up is harder. I used to dabble in CF and could do a couple hspu's but never a muscle-up. Good luck to you!
