I'm going on a Girl Scouts camping trip (one I have to go to as a leader) so that I can take my own troop camping...anyway, they provide all the food for the weekend and we have to do campfire cooking I assume it's all hot dogs, and other junk. Any ideas of food I can pack that maybe I'm missing? I am planning on bringing along protein meal bars, fruit, nuts, and tuna packs.

Why not just eat a hot dog and log it?

Hobo dinners and Fajitas are my fav dinners while camping. Pre-make chop everything, wrap it up in foil, through into coals. Enjoy. Bring some corn tortillas and and salsa for the fajita.

For hobo dinners, I usually do any and all veggies in the kitchen, plus a small amount of potatoes and meat of choice. Season with whatever you like.

For Fajitas, I usually chop bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms, mix in chicken, then do cummin, chili powder, garlic, onion powder, cheyenne pepper and salt+pepper. Corn tortillas with salsa (sour cream too if you have the calories) on top.
