No tips really, just empathy. It's tough. I always had the great metabolism, might put on some weight but always able to lose it pretty easily. Now though, ugh. I'll echo some of the above advice about limiting calories, but mostly just wanted to say you're not alone.

Give me strength!! Office potluck today... I skipped breakfast to give myself some calorie flexibility, but this is going to be tough for me. I saw cookies headed into the break room, and sugar is my biggest weakness.

Hello, fellow mid-lifers! I'm a newbie here, looking for some folks who can relate to my fitness issues, maybe offer occasional advice and a kind word of support here and there, and sometimes commiserate (what in the heck happened to my metabolism???). Getting old sucks. Thoughts?
