  • I have a unique diet because I had gastric bypass in April 2014. I typically eat high protein, low carbs, low to no sugar, and moderate fat each day, but when a long race is coming up, that changes to make sure my body has the energy it needs to get through the distance I am running.
  • I exercise and do distance running because it helps me stay strong and gives me energy. It also helps me maintain a lower weight after drastic weight loss, which is something I never want to gain back. It all gives me the feeling that I can accomplish anything I stick to.
