  • I guess it depends what hes cooking, if its a total one pot then i probably would do that, or if its a batch cook so hes planning on there being leftovers then I would work out the dish weight and my portion... I would still over egg the oil though. We dont tend to use alot of oil however so I dont think that one…
  • Yes, because I cant work out how much I actually had and would rather over count than under. So (as hubby cooks) hubby will write down the weight of everything he adds to a stir fry for example, and I will be able to eyeball the veg and know I have had roughly a quarter and log a quarter of them... But i would log the…
  • Yeah I weigh butter and will include the whole amount of oil added to a pan even when its cooking for the whole family. I weigh milk in my coffee too. I guess I need to just keep on going. Its just a little demoralising after adding in all the exercise to still not see any real results 7 months later. I kinda thought I…
  • Hi. I confess that I am not consistently measuring. I measured at the start so I do have that written down somewhere, but I actually found those numbers more upsetting for some reason so I avoid. I will measure. Before I got a PT I was eating 1200 calories as my target max. Which I now know is not great, especially when…
  • Yes, Im weighing every last thing and sticking to my allowance. I have only been back at doing that for a week, I was doing it consistently for most of last year and stopped in January feeling deflated at no progress. I didnt lose or gain weight between January and now though... Just continued to bounce around those same…

  • Sorry to hear about your husband, but yes... You need to look after you too xx Regarding food, we are somewhat self Limiting because we dont buy any food packaged in plastic, and as much as possible we buy everything loose. This does mean that greek yogurt and berries (unless its their season and we can pick them) are off…

I will be doing so well and he will walk in with a cheesecake and my willpower goes! :) Im trying to plan breakfasts as if I start the day wrong then its all screwed in my head for the whole day. I just dont know what to eat for breakfast other than eggs and that gets…

  • Thanks... This is really useful. So on weight training and running days I will know its ok to go over into my exercise calories if Im hungry. I never used to do this and it was suggested my body was holding onto everything it could in case I was starving... Makes sense. Thankyou x
  • Hi, yes... I have scales and weigh everything... Even down to a lettuce leaf. I had taken a few weeks off tracking because I was getting nowhere and it was suggested to stop and just try and eat healthily... Which I did. I didnt lose or gain in this time really (fluctuated within normal limits) but I really want to get…
  • Thankyou. I was a cardio 5 times a week girl until the injury so yeah, im probably wired the wrong way round. I am now lifting but only for the last two months so relatively new. Diet wise i struggle due to the fact that we buy nothing at all packaged in plastic. So ive been unable to source affordable protein powder so im…

  • Hiya- same, I'm almost 37, have prob 14 pound to lose (I'd like more to go but its unlikely..) been at it for ages but it's going nowhere... I used to run three times a week but I injured my achilles so I've been off it for three months - two gym sessions and multiple home sessions a week and still no success. I would love…
