It’s normal to be hungry after working out, you aren’t doing anything wrong. Unless you aren’t eating after you workout.

You could always start trying now while you keep losing weight. It can take time so you could still reach your goal before getting pregnant and even if you get pregnant before you reach your goal the weight you have lost has already benefited your health in so many ways.

I’ve never done it, most of my family are already thin, but I have a few friends who have done it with their families. And my father-in-law has done it twice with a group of friends. It seems to be a good motivator for people but I have noticed that a lot of them seem to regain the weight afterward. In fact, my father in…

I second everything @AnnPT77 said! Weighing daily and logging it into Happy Scale has given me a much better understanding of my weight fluctuations and makes it way less stressful/demotivating when the scale goes up. Personally, weighing once a week just isn’t enough data for me to feel like I really understand the…

I think this really gets to the heart of what it means to be kind to yourself. We are our own harshest critics. A lot of people talk to themselves in ways they would never talk to their loved ones. People beat themselves up for one binge or one missed workout. People are afraid to even start trying to lose weight because…

I use MFP primarily to track calories. I do use it to make sure I’m getting enough protein as well though.

Hi! I’m 28 and my goal is also 120! I’m currently at 153 so need to lose 33 more lbs to get there.
-
I’m a wimp. I just run inside when it’s cold.
-
Yesterday I upped my long run from 3 miles to 4! And I’ve managed to get my pace down from a 12 minute mile to 11:30 minutes.

Thanks all!

Just drink it black. If you buy good coffee it doesn’t need creamer.

Not really. I don’t have any off-limit foods. I just count calories. Sometimes I’ll plan for a higher calorie day but it’s not really a cheat, I just do a couple lower-calorie days before or after a day I’m planning to go over my norm.

1400 is not too few calories to lose weight on. It’s a pretty low number actually. So you should aim for 1400 calories net - meaning you should eat back your exercise calories. Do this for a month, then evaluate if it’s working (which it absolutely will unless you have a medical condition). And because you are already a…

I think about how much it will suck to start over again.

Me! My husband and I have decided to start trying for a baby in summer 2020. I’m hoping to reach my goal weight this summer (I’m at my half way point now with just 35 lbs left to go!) and then maintain for a year so I can go into TTC and pregnancy healthy :)
-
My husband and I are planning to try for a baby about a year after I’ve predicted I will reach my goal weight - getting to a healthy weight and learning to maintain that weight for awhile so I can be healthier for TTC and pregnancy is my biggest motivator right now.

I have a weight watchers scale. I just picked one that was a decent price. It matches up with when I get weighed at the doctor and the gym so I figure it’s accurate enough.

Start weighing yourself every day and track it in an app like Happy Scale (Apple) or Libra (Android). The app should give you a moving average and it will help you understand you weight fluctuations. There are a bunch of reasons that you could be up 1.5 lb on the scale that have nothing to do with fat gain. It could be…

Sprouts is my favorite but they are a bit pricey to be my regular grocery store. Typically, I go to Target or Smiths.

Accurate. It actually tastes close to real ice cream!
-
This is more of a before and during but I’m half way to my goal and already so excited by how much progress I’ve made! The left is me at 190 and the right is me today at 153!

Keep working at it. Everyone started off slower. It takes time to build speed but if you keep working at it, you’ll get there.
-
Counting carbs is great for people who like it. It makes me miserable and spikes my anxiety. Counting calories has worked well for my weight loss efforts and I can still eat all the foods I enjoy. It’s a much more sustainable way of eating for me.
-
Oh yes! I am not a happy camper when I’m hungry. Sometimes my husband will just bring me a snack if I’m being especially testy lol.
-
Eh, my cart never looks superior to anyone else’s. I buy healthy foods but I haven’t cut out 100% of “junk” foods either. The food you buy doesn’t make you better than someone else. I’m not going to judge someone for buying some cookies and ice cream. I don’t know what’s in their fridge at home or who that food is for or…

I was up 6 lbs this morning. But I stepped back on the scale before lunch and 3 off those were already gone. It will probably all be gone in a day or two.

I did some Christmas shopping online but just stayed in my pjs all day and relaxed at home. My husband is still off from work so it was nice to just spend a day doing nothing with him.

The 30-35 calories of creamer in my coffee are typically the only liquid calories I have. Other than that just lots of water and occasionally diet soda.
