  • I’m a bit shorter than you but this is how my weight loss has looked: I’m 5’0” and in September started at 176 lbs with a goal weight of 120. My weight loss started out at an average of 2 lbs a week. But slowed to 1.5 lbs a week after about a month. I’m now 29 lbs down and looking to lose another 27. I’d love to keep going…
  • Happy Scale should let you log as many weight entries as you want. I use to it log once daily, every morning. It’s been great in helping me understand my weight fluctuations and not be so worried about the number on the scale.
  • We aren’t planning on trying till next year but one of my big reasons for losing weight is for when we try to get pregnant. I’ve lost 42 lbs so far and am aiming to lose another 28. Then hopefully, maintain for about a year before we start trying.
  • I felt that way all the time in the beginning. I had so much trouble trusting the process. I always had to remind myself that food is not the enemy, it fuels my body and I need it (just less of it than I was eating before). Now that I’m down 42 lbs I feel much more confident in how much I’m eating and don’t worry about it…
  • I enjoy a lot of PopSugarFitness’s videos. They have a lot to choose from so you can get a lot of variety. I also like Yoga with Adrienne
  • When I started running I did mostly interval training. I started with 2 minute walk/1 minute spring and then worked my way to shorter intervals. I typically did 30 sessions 3x a week. When I started I couldn’t run a full mile. After about 4-6 weeks I could run 3 miles at a 12 minute per mile pace. I did lose weight but…
  • More interaction would be great!
  • Chicken and rice my cheap, quick, and easy go-to. I’ll usually add a bit of Sriracha or chili garlic sauce for some extra flavor/spicyness. It’s not especially interesting or fun but it’s simple and easy and easy to figure out the calories too.
  • I’m 3 for 3 in 2019! It feels good to start out my day with a workout, it makes me feel so much more productive. My foot is also feeling better so I’m pretty confident that I will be able to re-start my running schedule on Monday! I’m bummed I had to take this week off but better safe than sorry. Also, last night my…
  • Original starting weight - 190 January starting weight - 147.5 January goal - 140.5 Ultimate goal - 120 January 03 - 147.8 January 10 - January 17 - January 24 - January 31 - Total loss for January - +0.3 I’m up a tiny bit. I went a little overboard on NYE and started working out every day so I think it’s just a bit of…
  • I’m happy with the rate I’m losing so I don’t really feel the need to change what I’m doing.
  • I’m also 5 ft and net 1200-1300 calories a day. I eat back pretty much all of my exercise calories if I ran because everything I’ve found online, my Nike app, and MFP are all fairly consistent with my calorie burn when I enter my run info. If I’m relying on MFP’s calculations for a strength day then I only eat back about…
  • As long as you are under your calorie goal it’s fine. I had more than a few glasses of champagne throughout December and still lost weight.

  • Counseling as soon as possible. Eating disorders are very serious and can become very dangerous very quickly. This is not something to try and just fix yourself. Get yourself the support you need. If you are still in college they should have counseling available at either very low cost or free.
  • - Run a Half-Marathon - Lose 28 lbs - More focus on self-care
  • Got my workout for the day in! I upped my weights from yesterday as I felt like I could push myself a little bit harder so I’m feeling good and tired now. 2019 is off to a pretty great start!
  • Day 2 is done! I made some modifications (like doing low-impact jumping jacks) because I’m having some pain in my foot but I did up my weights since yesterday I felt like I could have pushed myself a bit harder.
  • Yup. It’s mostly water anyway and it’s keeping you hydrated. There’s nothing more magically about water that hasn’t had tea leaves soaked in it.

  • It’s just a workout video series. I’d say it’s no more risky than doing any other workout video.
  • I’m planning on getting a tattoo. I have 28 more lbs to go. I still haven’t decided what I wanted but I’ve started to narrow it. I don’t think I’d be able to get to the tattoo artist I’d want to do the work until December anyway though so I have lots of time to decide. I’m a little worried I will chicken out because of the…
  • I have good quality running shoes and had my feet analyzed at the local running store to make sure I got ones right for my feet. Definitely not using Sketchers. I have been doing my at-home workouts (non-running) in just my socks though. Maybe a mistake. I'm going to try wearing shoes from now own.
  • I eat beteeen 1200-1300 a day. I’ve lost 42 lbs so far. I’m working toward losing the last 28 lbs in 2019!
  • Got in my first workout of the year today! I’m kicking off the new year with Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred and I remember to actually take some before pictures:
  • I workout at home. So the cold doesn’t really impact my motivation to workout since I don’t even have to leave the house. I also find it helpful to set specific goals. So far I have two fitness goals for this year: 1. 30 workouts in 30 days for January 2. Train for the half-marathon I registered for I’m also pretty vocal…
  • Awesome job!
  • I promise you do not look the same after losing 25 lbs. That is literally impossible. Did you take some before pictures? Take some pictures today and compare them. You’ll see a difference. Also, buy some new clothes that fit.
  • I actually remembered to take before pictures/measurements. I’m excited to see what progress I can make in just one month! I got today’s workout in and it actually wasn’t too bad. I think I need to use some heavier weights tomorrow as I feel like I could have pushed myself a little harder.
  • My first workout selfie in 2018 vs the one I took today! I’m so much happier now than I was a year ago. I still have 28 lbs to go but I know I know I will hit my goal weight this year 😀
  • @KellyLouiseGibson - Nice headphones! I got my dad some for Christmas and now I’m kind of wishing I’d bought myself a pair! Also great job on the runs!
  • I’m starting today! I’m excited to see what my progress will be at the end of the month!
