I get freaked when the scales drop dramatically overnight. I’m like “wtf”.

5:2 rocks! I lost 5stone in 6 months. Never looked back!

You won’t add muscle at a fast speed. It is impossible. Muscle building is a determined and slow progress. You can add water and pump but muscle growth takes time and dedication. You need to focus on increasing your strength by gradually adding weight to the bar each week. Don’t believe any of the before and after pictures…

I’ve lost 10lbs in 8 weeks. Happy with that. Turned my spare room into a gym. The delivery guy gets more hacked off each week. The latest delivery was two 60llb dumbbells. 😂

Best tip I ever had from a PT was to do reverse pull ups. Jump up, grab the bar and hold a high position while lowering back down as slow as possible. Repeat 5 times then 3 more sets. This is a brilliant way to achieve success. Focus on your scapula and back.

I’m trying to cut but it’s taking time! I Bulked to 205 (I’m 185 tall) and down to 195, so a loss of 10 pounds over 8 weeks. That seem right? 404020 1800cals a day workout 4 days (weights) and do some kayaking 2/3 days a week.

Stop working 14 hour days!! You get one life.

6 months hard work!

Haha. I’m having that day too. I’ve worked my *kitten* off the last few weeks have got personal bests in the gym even today. I looked in the mirror and said “why is it not working” and my partner begged to differ “look at you, you’ve got square pecs” So I thought stuff it. Beers tonight 🍺😂

I did a number of things: Cut out carbs entirely for the first month. I ate only fruit, veg, meats and fat free Greek yoghurt. Now I eat only 1800 calories a day with 180g of protein. I eat 40% protein, 40% carbs (mostly fruit and veg) and the rest is natural fats. I’ve cut out bread, pasta and sugar. On occasion I’ll have…

Thanks. Still a way to go!!

4 months apart.

53 is not an age to be slowing down my friend. You have so much more to achieve!! Well done.
-
Well done. I started on Aug 15th and went from 105kg to 85.5kg this morning. I’m 6’. Can’t believe how much muscle is growing.

Buy a magimix blender. Best thing you’ll ever buy. A great smoothie: Ginger (from a jar!) Banana Frozen berries Two large spoons of fat free Greek yoghurt. (The zero one is the best) An organic carrot Celery 100ml water Makes an amazing creamy smoothie that is very high in protein only good carbs.

Yes. I get my carbs from fruits and veg only. In 3 months I’ve had bread about 6 times. Pasta none. I do have a cheat day each where I can have a beer and a couple of pizza slices etc.

What an awesome reply. Rock that T-shirt indeed!!

If we always checked those requirements no-one would ever talk. 😂

You’re so correct. I feel on top of the world and very proud. I’m in a great position now get a lot fitter too. Thanks for your lovely reply.

Thanks everyone. It’s not the first time. He had a bad day yesterday and took his mood out on me but that is no excuse. He needs to grow up a bit as he thinks he’s the bees knees. However, I’m a lot taller, and broader and I think he likes to put me (and others) down to try and mask his own insecurities.

Good progress!

I see this too. People that I thought were in an OK shake, I now see their weight.

It really is warped. Apparently the Rock suffers with it too. Many body builders look in the mirror and think they are not ripped when they actually are.
