You are doing awesome. Do you k ow how many people wish they were you right now? How many people still “should start” and you are doing it! You are awesome! Keep it up and congrats for turning your “should” into a “must”. That’s the toughest part!

So I’m about 8 months in and the comments have slowed drastically. I think getting new clothes that fit better are helping. In fact, I’m getting asked more now about how I transformed vs looking too thin. Stay on track peeps. Those putting you down are definelty jealous and your wardrobe may not be helping.

If he’s serious, he should get a food scale. People think they are eating low calories, until they weigh their food. Fun fact: 3 croutons = 15 cal. How many croutons do you put on your salads 😀? Unless he’s losing 2lb/wk, I would bet his intake is higher than he thinks.

Awesome!

Haha. Well, 7 months ago I had +24% BF! I hovered around that 1,500 daily cal for a few months. And a tip, I didn’t eat back much of my exercise cals until I cut my cardio and added weights. Are you by chance, weighing your food? It’s a game changer if you want to accelerate weight loss.

Is your daily goal a 500 cal deficit?
-
Well, by now you should know what your TDEE is and calories you need in to maintain. Not sure if you have to track to stay honest. I’ve switched to macro counting now in maintenance and have slowly added calories back. I feel I have a lot more options with macros then I did with total calories. But unfortunately, either…

Unless you are IF, breakfast has been proven to be the most important meal of the day, no matter what time you eat it. It is what wakes up your metabolism from that overnight time when you do not intake any calories. Hence the name “break fast”. I used to NOT eat breakfast, but when i decided to change my nutrition goals,…

Sometimes I don’t think people (outside the MFP community) really know what it takes to transform yourself. The countless hours working out or the nutritional decisions and changes you make, along with the maniacal discipline that’s needed. I don’t think they see the early hours or late night grind sessions. They don’t…

I may have been you about 7 mos ago. Here’s what I did: 1) drinking 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water daily 2) committed to 3-4, 1 hour workouts / week 3) committed to breakfast, 7 days / week 4) consciously cut serving size and servings (instead of 2 cups of coffee per day, down to one) 5) added aggressive cardio…

Well. I’ve dropped 40lbs going into my unfinished basement 3-4 times a week. Music helped me. I made it feel like an hour or so of jamming to music. And I took lots of pics when starting to track progress visually. My cardio was jumping jacks. About 700 a night was my peak. And I started progressive lifting with barbells…

Before I started to change my lifestyle, my BP was 140-100. Then I decided to lose 40lbs, start exercising (about 3-4 x week) and change my nutritional intake. Doctor also told me, drink more water!!! So today, my BP is 120-75. I drink about 80-90oz of water a day. I hit my goal weight (-40lbs) and exercise regularily with…

Looking good man! How long have you been at the progressive weights? Asking for a friend, haha. Also, are you eating in a surplus to gain as well?

I travel quite a bit too. I avoid restaurants for dinner. Instead I opt to hit the local grocery store. I will grab a whole rotisserie chicken and a bag of frozen broccoli. I’ll get 35g of protein from the chicken for dinner and only 5g of fat and basically zero carbs. I’m really only eating the breast meat. Then some…

I’ve cut cardio back drastically and am focused on progressive lifting. Targeting 40% protein in my macros which comes out to 1g per pound. So the 1,850 cals is a slight deficit to maintenance but has substantial proteins in it. I’ve been able to maintain weight with this the last month but want to see that BF continue to…

If not...just keep at it, you will! Dedication and motivation...and you can do anything you set your mind to!!!

Interesting question. I’ve been at it for six months and have surpassed my goal weight. I added an extra 10 pounds of loss to my goal in November as i wanted to stay on a slight deficit and recomp slightly. Well, after much research and feedback from folks here, I studied my macros hard and have set a goal to follow them…

Amazing! Congrats! That doesn’t work unless you do! Keep it up. You should be so proud! In reading the replies, the MFP community is so proud of you as well!

Congrats! First day ✅. First week ✅. Keep it up! It will be a habit in 30 days. Then you will be planning ahead so you don’t miss a workout or the right meal!

Inspirational! Awesome work! Keep at it! Congrats!

Thanks all! Just started a mini cut to see what I look like down another 6 lbs. Amazing what counting macros can do for you. If you’re just starting...keep at it. Progression happens differently for everyone. Just stay the course.
