Exercised: Yes - snowboarding, ~1 hour - my NSV was not wiping out on the awful slush trying to pass for snow - I think my fitness routine over the last 6 months helped with that Calories: Yes Tracked: Yes Pass Days Remaining: 1/3 Pass Day 1: 1/5/21 Pass Day 2: 1/8/21

Exercised: Yes - walking back and forth across my hotel room for 20 minutes - according to my Apple Watch, I covered .75 miles and burned 55 "active" calories - I never would have bothered to do that but for this group :D Calories: Yes - despite having a Wendy's combo meal on the road for dinner! Exercised: Yes - stationary bike, 20 minutes - I find it SO much easier psychologically to do a bike workout around lunchtime versus waiting until the evening after work Calories: Yes Tracked: Yes Pass Days Remaining: 1/3 Pass Day 1: 1/5/21 Pass Day 2: 1/8/21

I can't think of any new insights this month, but I'm continuing to act on insights I gained last year when I started this round of weight loss. Meal planning and preparing/freezing meals in advance are key for me, but I've realized I need variety for calorie-restricted eating to be maintainable over time. In the past, I…

Exercised: Yes - stationary bike, 20 minutes - I was tired and really didn't feel like working out, but it wasn't bad once I got started Calories: Yes Tracked: Yes Pass Days Remaining: 1/3 Pass Day 1: 1/5/21 Pass Day 2: 1/8/21

I'm an OK sleeper. My natural circadian rhythm would have me going to sleep at 3am every day, and trying to conform to a more "normal" sleep schedule has been a lifelong struggle. The pandemic has made it a little better. I'm working from home now, so I can sleep in later since I don't have a commute. Exercised: Yes -…

Pass day #2. I tracked and stayed within my calorie budget, but I fell asleep before I could squeeze my workout in. Exercising on work days (Mon-Fri) is my biggest challenge, and 3 out of 5 this past week is a level I'm happy with, UAC rules notwithstanding.

@MaltedTea, thanks for the tip! I'm going to give it a few weeks to see if I just get used to it, but a new seat may be in my future if I'm still sore after that!

Exercised: Yes - stationary bike for 20 minutes - my stationary bike is new, and I'm not loving it so far, but maybe it will grow on me once my body gets used to it - I hope my neighborhood is calm enough to take walks outside this weekend! Calories: Yes Tracked: Yes Pass Days Remaining: 2/3 Pass Day 1: 1/5/21

@donna25trinity Would it help to give yourself a weekly goal in addition to (or instead of) a daily goal? I track and aim for a deficit daily, but I also look at my average daily deficit each week. Even when you go slightly over one day, your weekly number can still be good.

Exercised: Yes - stationary bike for 20 minutes - I live near the Capitol in DC, so I'm stuck inside :/ Calories: Yes Tracked: Yes Pass Days Remaining: 2/3 Pass Day 1: 1/5/21

Pass day #1 for me. I tracked, but I went slightly over on calories and didn't exercise. It was still a good day though -- I did a lot of meal prep, which will help me stay on track for the next couple of weeks.

Exercised: Yes - I really didn't feel like it, but knowing that I had committed to checking in here tilted the scales just enough to get me onto the stationary bike for 20 minutes tonight Calories: Yes Tracked: Yes Pass Days Remaining: 3/3

Hello! This will be my first month participating in this challenge. I lost about 30 pounds in 2020, but I've been in maintenance mode since November. I'm at the high end of the healthy BMI range now, but I'd like to get down to the middle. My biggest challenge lately has been getting regular exercise. It's cold and it gets…

I've lost a little more than 20 pounds since late July, but I've been slipping up lately and not hitting my calorie target as consistently as I was earlier in the process. My goal for December is to finish the year strong and get back into the "normal" BMI range (<157 lbs). Starting weight: 184.6 Start weight this month:…

Nice job pulling yourself back on track. Progress and persistence are what matters, not perfection. Four pounds in eight weeks is very solid progress, so congrats to you!
