Fellow southerner here. I feel very strongly that sugar has no place in cornbread. it should be savory.

You’ve got this. You just need to get your mind in the right place. I agree with the others about small goals and starting slow. If you haven’t already, you may want to check out the podcasts Losing 100lbs with Phit n Phat or Half My Size. Both are very motivational and preach the “do what is sustainable for you” approach…

When I initially had my fitness assessment at the gym last February, I could only manage a 9 second plank. Today in my body pump class, I was able to perform a caterpillar plank for a full minute.

My goal for this week is to eat on plan, exercise 2-3 times, and make it through the work week.

Yesterday I bought size 12 jeans. This is the first time I have worn this size in a very, very long time (like 20 years ago). They are snug but they fit.

I have a scale obsession and it causes me to do crazy things. As such, I only weigh once a month (I started out weighing twice a month). I found this is much easier for me. As long as you are doing what you are supposed to be doing (eating right-food and portions and moderately exercising) you should be losing weight sans…

This has been such a crazy, stressful day! My goal is not to overeat when I get home.

Become stronger and leaner. Am committed to taking weight lifting classes and doing free weights at home to supplement.

To eat on plan, not overindulge when I go out to eat tonight, and to get up in time for Zumba on Saturday. I have not been sleeping well and it has been monsooning here for the past 2 days so the temptations to lay around and do absolutely noting is super strong.

It has been hard getting back into a routine. I am super tired today after staying up late watching the Sugar Bowl and all I want to do is curl up on a couch and sleep. Unfortunately, I am work and don't think that would go over well. I'm definitely going to hit my beverage goals today in that I have been drinking vats of…

Had a pretty big binge on NYE. Did well with cravings and portion control today. Goals for the rest of the week is to not binge or overeat. Plan to go to gym tomorrow night.

Today I made a list of all the things I accomplished in 2019 and the new experiences that I had. It was a pretty long list and made me happy. I also made a list of what I wanted to accomplish in 2020 from a professional, health, fitness, and personal basis. For the longest time I abandoned the concept of setting specific…

Not to overeat, especially nuts which apparently I just can't control myself around at present.

I hit my gym goal this month even though I was traveling and out of town for half the month. For the longest time, I did not set goals for myself. I am now setting goals and I find that it really helps to keep me on track and motivated and makes me do things that otherwise I would avoid (like get out of bed early on a…

Sounds great! I’m making a low sugar ambrosia with oranges, unsweetened coconut, and pecans.

I am going to indulge in Christmas Eve and Day. Due to liver issues I don’t drink or eat sugar so my indulgences are more in line with savory dishes-I’m making sausage balls with almond flour, roasted pecans with butter, ambrosia herb unsweetened coconut, oranges, and pecans, my mom’s buttered biscuits and cornbread…

Thanks y’all. So far I’ve made it two days without bingeing/overeating. Hopefully I have broken the cycle. Fortunately I have lots to do which will help to keep my hands and mind occupied!
-
To stop overeating/binge eating at night.
-
Not to go hog wild with my eating at our Christmas luncheon today.

I took my first full week vacation in a very long time this past week. I went to Disney and Universal and I had no trouble fitting on any of the rides. I had been avoiding places like this for the longest time because of my size. It feels so good to be able to just go and do things and not have to worry about whether I can…

December is hard for me too. My dad died two days before Christmas (this will be 11 years ago), I got into a major car accident on Christmas Day 5 years ago with my mom that has caused her additional health problems, my mom was really sick Christmas of 2017 and had to be hospitalized, I could go on but I am not going to do…

I am going out of town on vacation next week and I was gone all of last week. For this week, I decided that I didn't need to go to the grocery store because I should use up all the food I had in my freezer. While this sounds both sensible and economical, the food that I had on hand wasn't a full meal and I didn't plan…

If I am sick, I rest. I generally get chest colds/bronchitis when I get sick so easy activities like walking would only make it worse. Since weight loss is 90% what you eat, taking a few days off from exercise shouldn’t impact your progress.

I also belong in the "i hate clothes shopping" camp. I have gone from a 28 to a 14 so I've had to replace my wardrobe in intervals over the past year. I have found that dresses get a lot longer wear than pants so if you have that option, take it. There's a lot of good sales on right now. I am also contemplating buying some…

Awesome NSV @conniewilkins56 ! As a fellow binge eater I know how significant this victory was. Way to go!

Great work @CharlesScott78! Keep it going!

Thanks, @tinkerbellang83 . I have been going WAY over my fat allotment (both total and saturated) because I've been eating too much dairy and nuts. I eat nuts every day but have found myself eating multiple servings a day. While according to the tests I have had over the past year my gallbladder is fine, but I have found…

Good tips. I definitely agree with exercise, making it a meal rather than a day, and asking whether it is worth it. I have three big meals next week to contend with for the holidays-we celebrate a lot in my family. I have my game plan and know already which meals I plan to indulge, which ones that I am going to go with the…

@maiomaio71 I definitely can relate. I have days where I just can't seem to get full despite eating on plan with meals and snacks that normally fill me up. On these days, I give myself permission to eat more healthy foods. The real trick is figuring out if you are legitimately hungry or if you just really want something.…
