If there is any advice I can offer it is this: you need to change the way you talk to yourself. That was absolutely key for me when starting to hit my weight loss journey. I couldn’t believe how negatively I talked to myself! All the health and fitness in the world don’t matter if you’re miserable. So take it slow, and go…

Hello fellow binger! My advice is simple and hopefully uplifting: stop beating yourself up! You had a bad week. That’s totally alright. We all do. As a binger, it does hurt a little more, because it’s never like I binge carrots and celery lol. But you know the issue, so try and work some cheat days in. Give yourself…

I will tell anyone that “cheat days” are vital to success. Let’s review: did you get where you are after one bad day? Nope. It’s a string of bad days and bad decisions. NOT ONE. So how I say it is to keep to a cheat “meal”, once a week. Just go nuts. Whatever you want, whatever you see, go for it. BECAUSE... After a while,…

Believe it or not I do a little writing but am mainly a public speaker! Thank you all so much!

Thank you all! Passing positive vibes to all!

Kickboxing. Fun way to beat some stress out, work out, and feel like Bruce Lee.

Lightly breaded tilapia, steamed broccoli topped with bacon bits, low fat cottage cheese, and some sort of sauce. Love going with St Elmo’s Horseradish sauce because it packs a punch and keeps your taste buds wanting more!

Well, idk about some of the other advice, but I’m def an emotional eater. I know for myself, half the reason I got here in the first place is because of that. Especially with a grandmother that seemingly endeavored to no end to fill me with sweets and cakes and cookies (she was very diabetic and it cost her life). When it…

There’s a couple of factors here that are key to remember. First, the scale doesn’t matter at all. It really doesn’t. How do I know that? Because if I could weigh what I do right now, AND have a six pack, then it wouldn’t matter right? Second, the scale is a lier. This isn’t to say it’s “lying”, but it is to say it’s not…

Ya there is not nearly enough information here. At first I thought that had to be a typo, because at 115 lbs, and desiring to lose more, you would have to be about 4’9” range. But realistically it sounds like you are not giving yourself enough to eat and your body is fighting back and making you hungry.

Marie Calender’s has some really good ones; my favorites are the Spicy Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese, the Beef and Broccoli and the Bean Rice and Cheese Bowl. They’re tasty (especially if you want a little flavor) but as with all frozen/preprepared meals, watch out for sodium. They are also normally on sale at my local…

My man here knows what to jam to. Fate of Norns gets me hyped lol

That’s an incredible story and thank you so much for sharing it. I think a lot of people don’t realize the emotional control that we can surrender to foods at times of weakness, and how it truly can become an addiction. I struggled for years and years with that after an injury slowed me down. Food became something I could…

That’s incredible! You should be really proud of yourself, not only for the work you’ve done but inspiring others to change as well. Well done!

Just a quick addition: Yes, heavy lifting will burn fat, but it’s correct what the other posters have said, you’re not going to see weight loss the way you expect. The more muscle you add, the higher your weight will go because you’re going to build muscle. Muscle needs lots of water and protein, so be sure to be getting…

If you type “workout” into your search for Spotify they have a couple different channels to listen to. Really good for keeping up an upbeat pace

Coming from someone who primarily lifts, and does cardio to help, I can say that there is science out there behind it. I’ve often seen that it comes down to your energy stores, but it presented it as two different scenarios (or pronounced scenarios). First: you’re training to be a runner. Runners are often “leaner” and…

I don’t mind a little advice! Lol I just don’t like seeing the serial commenters who go around to every post saying the exact same thing in each one. I already weigh my food, so the defecit isn’t the issue. Been tracking 50+ days in a row as well. But, it’s alright. It’s like everyone is saying, it’s hard to stay motivated…

Incredible story, man. Thank you for sharing that. You look like a beast in the weight room.
-
Yes, they are the same time frame to the day. So about a month and some change.
-
Well I def appreciate the insights from you guys. Staying motivated and for now, just going to focus on inches instead of weight till the scale finally decides to teeter over into the numbers I’m hoping to see!
-
Ya been measuring and seeing SOME loses in some places but not in others. But, staying motivated!
-
Agreed. And I expected as much, more just surprised the scale has stopped dead in its tracks over the past month! Thank you though!

Just search “Workout” in Spotify! There are like 7 different “genres” to choose from. There’s a motivation, hype, beastmode, etc. All are good for just getting you into a positive rhythm and work a bit harder.

You’ll see Toad reply to a lot of things. Is a very “dry” person, but he is well intentioned. He, like a lot of us, have seen some unhealthy behaviors and I’m sure he just wanted to make sure you do things the healthy way! As for me, if you’re looking for a new friend then I’d love to help support you! I have substantial…

I sincerely want to be able to get on a normal person scale lol

That’s 10 months?! That’s incredible man!

Needed this little motivational boost today. Well done to you.

As a lifter, I can tell you that you will certainly lose weight with just weight training and calorie counting. The only thing I recommend is checking your macros and making sure you’re getting enough protein. Protein is what builds muscle, but also is a thermogenic food meaning It stokes your metabolism. So just make sure…

My only advice is: A) Consistency pays off. You’re body does not store fat equally, it will not lose it equally. So patience and consistency, it may take a month or two to see significant changes, but doing it healthy is the only way to ensure it stays off. B) Start weight training. It’s been proven time and again that a…
