They did this at Ballad too, but they furloughed our people and signed them up for unemployment benefits under the CARES Act instead of making them use up their vacation. So far, I am not furloughed since I am in the department that actually collects from insurance companies. We will see how long that lasts. They won't…

I wish you could work ftom home too. I pray for you and all my clinical friends. I know that I am fortunate that I can bill and code from home. I just wish I were better at taking care of myself while I do it.

It's not about helping. It's about making him do the work.

I stink at moving working from home. I didn't realize how much I actually walk in my office. I am going to have to do something to get a handle on it, but I really need to keep my 8th grader on track with online school more.

Sane? I am not sure what that word means. Last Wednesday we had 1 case in my health system's service area. This week we have 20. Most of them are people who traveled somewhere else and people who live with them. Actually, I trust our disaster plan (One of our 21 hospitals is empty in case we need it as an isolation…

Excellent!!

That happened here in late December/early January. Our nurses and lab techs thought we had a bad lot of flu tests. Maybe not?

Adorable baby is better than a sliver lining. :) Keeps ending pics.

We are now limiting entry points at our hospitals so that all visitors can be screened for symptoms. No visitors under 18 will be allowed and only one visitor will be allowed per patient. And as I was typing this, I got the call that my kid is going to be out of school until Match 30.

God bless you, Spam. People are getting awful, at least on this side of the pond.
-
I don't have room to keep a ton of paper goods in my house. And that's okay with me.

It's as if they think kids arw aren't carriers. Although I get that it's hard to tell working parents of elementary age kids that you have to stay home with them for two weeks.
-
All of my kids are home until the end of the month, meaning 6 of us are here and I only have 22, Becky. Good grief.

Nope. Nowhere.

It was her. Her mother's bond was increased by $100k, but her case has been postponed until May at the same request of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. They found her on her grandfather's property so it would have been shocking if it were not her. It's still very sad.

They found Baby Evelyn's body last night. 😪 Or at least they found a baby's body last night. It is being autopsied and probably got moved to the front of the line this morning for identification.

I didn't know you were supposed to understand Twitter. However, if you're going to try, rule #1 it is first and foremost a full judgment zone.

Yes. It is. 😪

They have arrested the missing baby's mom . https://www.timesnews.net/Law-Enforcement/2020/02/25/Baby-Evelyn-s-mom-charged-with-filing-a-case-report-as-each-for-the-child-continues.html?ci=stream&lp=10&p=1

I think of you every time I see this story. She's definitely a cold-hearted *kitten*. I can wrap my mind around feeling overwhelmed as a mom. I can't wrap my mind around walking away from my kids, much less hurting them.

Casey Anthony and Susan Smith are who I thought of when she was being interviewed. 😔

Updates on Baby Evelyn: They have arrested her maternal grandmother and her boyfriend. The car they were in were stolen, but she wasn't with them. (This is VERY bad.) Her grandfather is the one who reported her missing. Birth dad has been cleared, is still in Louisiana (the DOD knowing where you are all the time is…

Y'all. I am sick with worry and can't sleep. Please pray/ send positive thoughts for Baby Evelyn Boswell to be found safe. She's 15 months old and hasn't been seen by some of her family since December 11. RANK SPECULATION FOLLOWS: Birth father is active duty military in Louisiana and because he was never married to mom he…

That's snotty , if true. Fortunately, it's probably not. Neurologically, you go where you are looking. They looked at you and steered the car toward you without meaning to.(This is much more noticeable on a motorcycle or bicycle.) It doesn't keep you from getting wet, but I hope it makes you feel better about people.

Confession: my favorite grocery store (Earth fare, if you're from around here) is closing. They are my favorite for gluten free foods and herbal supplements. I have spent nearly $300 there since they made the announcement on Tuesday. 😲 Now, if I would just make myself cook all that food at home instead of eating out.

I ended up reporting my director to HR for not letting me transfer and applying for two other jobs in the hospital system yesterday. HR is helping me with getting out because she is not supposed to withdraw a job offer without telling them. She has jerked me around for a over year now and I decided it was time to take a…

We do like parties on this side of the pond, Spam, and babies may be the best excuse after weddings. And yes, I guess I will get there, but I am still not happy. I'm being punished because other people aren't getting their work done. And if they don't get punished, they'll never start getting their work done.

I put heavy cream or half and half in my coffee and it adds up to about 200 calories a day. (Don't at me. It's one of the few things I swallow that I actually like.) Yes, I log it. ETA: for a variety of reasons yesterday, that 200 calories was 20% of my intake.

I didn't eat my stress. I also didn't close my diary. It would have yelled at me for less than 1000 calories.
