After you log for a few weeks maybe you will see some areas that might have contributed to the gain. I realized my portions of protein were way to big. So although typically eating a lot of non processed and fresh foods, I was eating way too much in size.

Wow, I don’t know your age, but in the first photo you look closer to 45-50, in the second mid 30s.

Last week was a little rough with travel and sitting most of the day, glad to be home. Aiming to tighten my cals and do 4 swimming sessions this week. I saw some pictures of myself in a group, still feeling chunky -I was feeling thinner until I saw the pictures, even more motivated. I really want to see onderland soon. SW…

I teach, but Assoc. Professor for Univ of Phoenix online. I grade a lot on the weekend, so have to sit a lot. I also have another FT job. Sitting to grade takes up a lot of time.

First of all "Welcome Back"!! Its never too late to start over. Try to shift your paradigm. Sometimes having thin people around can be helpful too. Are there activities, health, or habits that they are adhering too that might be helpful for you? If you look back at the loss, think about what has changed and how you can get…

I think that's good insight on perhaps not doing a "cheat meal". I don't do that...slippery slope. It isn't to say I don't make mistakes, I do - for example sometimes I think calories are a certain level, then when I log they are not -that is a mistake, but not an intent.

Stuck to the fitness - stuck to my red meat once a week, no chips - winning there! Need to tighten the daily calories down about 200 a day to be on better track. All in all, an OK week. Stress levels are a little high, need to bring them down a little. Missed a performance bonus at work by 0.13 % bummed out about that -…

Its a good motivator to me. The better I am in a given day, the more I'm motivated to keep on track to reach that goal. In some months, it has been right on target. Other months not as much. Still inspiring!

I like the title - ready to Slay, got my buffie boots on. Last month was a bit of a roller coaster with hormone medicine, so I believe I gained 4 lbs, hoping it is temporary!!! Goal to reach 200 by end of May SW 242 CW 207 (was 203 at start of April) GW1 190 GW2 160 Specifically for the Month of May: No chips of any kind,…

Hit the gym more with your teens. Also, I bring my tween swimming with me about 50% of the time. Pick up some training, and local enrichment, join a local womans group.

See if there are any free on-demand videos (or via phone I guess and stream), get a couple of hand weights. Can do a quick 15 minute work out a couple of times a day.

My best friend is finally exercising, and told me tonight she is tired of being fat. I asked her to join me in nov but she said no. She is over 300. I’m very pleased she is now motivated by my progress as she has a lot of health concerns because of weight. I told a group I had lost over 30 in 4 months and there was a room…

Well, the weight's up, then down a couple of lbs so just staying the course through April. I'm at my starting morning weight for April today 204.8, my lowest this month was 202.4. Will be using next Wed as my official weigh-in. I'm keeping up with the fitness, and logging everything.I've increased my water jogging the last…

I'm bummed out my gym is closed on Sunday where I use the pool. This week was rough getting back to work after my sugery, and weekend pool time is what I need. I was sooo tired today Friday and on Tuesday that I didn't get to the gym those days, but should have - literally crashed for a 3 hr evening nap. I was in a lot…

Re:I wanted to wait until I was done losing weight and had maintained for at least 6 months. I don't want to have to have it resized repeatedly, it's already been resized once (to make it bigger). The metal can only be manipulated so much. [/quote] Time for a "decoy" ring. Meaning a lower sentemental or costume piece, that…

Typically it's about 2 pounds for light clothes and tennis shoes. Maybe 3-4 for jeans and boots & sweater. It's pretty minor when you are looking at total body weight. You should feel comfortable with your final weight when you are in clothing because its pretty insignificant. I've never had anyone "yell" or make a "rude"…

Actually a "good quality red wine" isn't bad. Typically it is more about the mixer - I love mojitos, but I don't want to use a sugar mix. I want the fresh lime - when you go to a bar the prep is more important. Are they using fresh ingredients as mixers or bottles. That's the key. Otherwise I get amaretto on the rocks, or…

I dream of 150 and would be screaming for happiness, and that extra inch of height.....in your 40's 150 will rock (It's my goal now - I have 55 lbs to go...but am still trying to reach my phase one goal of 190). That being said - this isn't about me - yoru post is about you- there may be a new food item, or change in your…

It might be regional, its odd they didn't say it before. It's very common for me to hear that phrase - but I work in a nautical community, and people are gone a lot, and it could be awhile till you see them sometimes. It usually means, if I don't see you for awhile take-care-of-yourself til we meet again.

Awe - I'm not a mother in law, but I could be oneday (son is 26). Instead of taking it negatively, you could show the mother-in-law a BMI chart from the CDC, and where your goals are for health, show your weight and where you are heading. In many areas, especially in US, our perception of "normal" is skewed, especially in…

We are of similar age - so I will be straight here. I supposed the first question is what is your weight and height. After that it's math. You will keep getting bigger if you don't move more and/or eat less. But you HAVE been through the drill. You lost 50lbs, you watched your weight. If you don't actively watch it, and…

hairy, I need to go shave my legs - haha

Almost every day (today was an exception because I was out) for breakfast, I eat a measured out 1/4 cup of 2% or 4% cottage cheese with blackberries or blueberries on top. Keeps me filled up for around 100 cals. The lower fat cottage cheese tastes terrible, and doesn't keep me full. I typically buy a big container, and…

Yes, but I probably have reduced by about 50% in the last year. Sometimes non in a day, sometimes 3. It used to be about 3-6 a day of diet soda. Water feels better in my body, but I still like the taste of diet cherry coke especially. I often drink sparkling water too.

My friend had the opposite and lost 15 lbs when she started on them last fall. Honestly I think it depends - she was very "unsettled and paced a lot, so probably lost because of her anxiety". Log what you are eating (weigh measure everything) and be careful of getting off them if the depression issues are still around or…

Is there a different gym, or something about the gym you dislike - maybe shop around for a better experience/equipment/options/client base?

Be very deliberate with nutrition and cals on sedentary. I did this for a month, then added water jogging 3-5 times a week - I deal with pain mgmt issues also, not as severe I'm sure. It will take you that much time (took you a year to add it, prob a year to get rid of it) to shed it all. The weight is adding to your pain,…
