  • I am a RECOVERING sweets addict. I had to quit Diet Coke, as this amplified the cravings. Once I did that, I had much fewer problems. Fruit is a nice alternative. But I'd advise against trying to cut the sweets COMPLETELY out of your life. It leads to binges which are much more damaging in the long run. Get the mini candy…
  • Yeah, that sounds really high for a weight loss amount. Mine is 1,600 calories.
  • Those videos were deliciously funny. I'm still laughing, as are all my coworkers. But just goes to show, you can do this stuff anywhere, and every little bit helps.
  • Feel free to add me! I need support, too, so I'll be glad to offer it.
  • Okay, dear. Let me start by saying opinions are like butt-holes. We all have them, they're all cracked, and most of them stink. I am uniquely qualified, because I am a son to a mother, and brother to two sisters. Additionally, I have been married for 17 years, and have two daughters. I've been around women my entire life.…
  • You're probably going to weigh in whether you log food or not. Give yourself a threshhold - "If I gain more than 5 lbs, then I go back to logging food until I'm back to my goal weight." But I do think that given the amount of time it probably took you to lose that 25 lbs., you probably changed a lot of negative habits. I'd…
  • Thanks everybody. This is WAY better than doing it alone, I can tell you that. I appreciate your input.
  • Well, unless you ate over 17,000 calories, your weight gain was not caloric. Probably fluid. Decadent wedding fare is usually rich in fat and sodium... drink at least 1/2 your weight in ounces of water each day, and that should flush your system well, and get you back on track.
  • Okay, so how do I determine what my caloric intake should be? I'm doing 1570 a day, which I think might be too low. I'm 6'1", and weigh 207. I was down to 206.6, but with working out, jumped back up to 208. But I'm wondering if I'm actually eating too little for the working out, etc.
  • I was 206.6 on Monday. I was 208.6 today. Just enough to REALLY p!ss me off.
  • I know how you feel with the heat. I live in Florida, and the heat is unbearable, with temps and humidity in the 90's as well. But as bad as it is, you wind up getting just about twice the benefit by getting outside and sweating it out. Wait till late in the afternoon - 6:30 or 7, and walk for an hour, and you can still…
