Goal doesn’t push further back, but as you get fitter, your heart rate decreases so you need to work harder to burn those calories off in move goal.
-
thats an interesting concept. it sounds like to me, possibly, you have a slower digestion, and possibly some food intolerances which is why you're not bloating or in pain as much. I'd have a chat to a dr or nutritionist about your diet and see if you are actually suffering from an intolerance. Good luck.

thank you everyone, it's good to know that its ok to go to maintenance for a few days to recover. :)

My watch is set at 406 calories for move goal It’s my bare minimum for when I’m at home and doing just general typical house stuff. On the days I exercise I least double my move goal. I’ve not gone past 930 calories in a day according to my watch though.

Oh ok, yep, I had trouble seeing. The difference looked similar my fitness pal looks different :) Kjs is kilojoules. You can measure food/exercise in calories or kilojoules. Kilojoules is more metric where as calories is imperial. Yep. I have no idea. Sorry. It should report exactly the calories burned during bike ride and…

Sorry, I misread where the issue was thought it was the other way round, is MFP in Calories or Kjs setting? otherwise, it could be including the rest of the day you've burned off outside of the bike ride. Do you have a screen shot of the exercises burned in MFP?

It was a month of exercising before I started to lose anything. I was so disheartened, and then one day, finally, the scales moved. I exercised, I ate right, I calorie counted, and nothing moved for weeks. I'm 9 weeks in now and I've lost about 5 kilos. if you take out the 4 weeks nothing moved, I've lost a steady kilo a…

On Apple, they have Active Calories, and calories burned. My active calories often similar to treadmill or bike, but burned is lower. I suspect that it’s something of similar nature. MFP acts in a similar way.
-
I weigh daily. It does flacuate and I know why as I’m tracking food as well, but I also use a weight trend app linked to my scales so I can see I am losing weight overall.
-
haha I have seen this too, and gone, WTAF?
-
I looked into it and it seemed like a good concept, but poorly executed. I decided just googling for low calorie but dense meals was better than paying someone. Plus MFP seems to be a good medium. It’s just you will need to do the legwork, oppose paying someone for it.

Yes, I was so happy to hear when I could eat back the calories burned. Like others, I currently eat back 50% of it. I am currently doing MB12wBT, (just helping me kickstart fitness) which doesn’t advise eating back Exercise calories, I was miserable and starving. But the lovely posters here suggested I do, and since then…

Welcome back! I was the same. Used it many years ago, stopped and piled it back on. I think I’ll use it long term now, it keeps me Accountable. I hope you have more success this time. :)

I don’t think everyday tasks should be included as exercise. But everyone who tries to make a lifestyle change, no matter how small should be applauded. It’s a start and from there you build it up. Things that are outside the realms of everyday housework and chores shouldn’t be counted. Like for example, I do not count my…

if the cinnamon is coming up as 300 calories, then you've got the serving size wrong like you're saying one teaspoon, but its entering it as 1 cup? you definitely have to double check. when i enter recipes in, saying 1 cup of x isn't going to cut it. i have to edit the qty/or serving size because it cant always get it…

maybe 2-3 times a week in summer? I have 100 calorie ice creams after dinner, i love them because they come portion controlled packets and i cant over do it. it may not be as much as id like but i don't miss out. But I have l dialled back things like chocolate or sugar heavy items as I am finding i end up up like a vampire…

i definitely start packing on about 2kilos (4.5lbs) around my period and it takes about a week to come off. I HATE it. but i remind myself its not forever and i definitely lose that once its come and gone. I weigh myself daily, so I do have a fair idea of my upcoming cycle. but i don't let it demoralise me, there's no…

yes, but like others, it's not sustainable or healthy. its all in moderation. I don't deny myself treats, but i remind myself I had a chocolate bar not 2 days ago, i probably don't need it again today do i? When we go out for lunch as a family, I definitely dive into the desserts, cos I'll never have that at home. but we…

Thanks Austin! That was very helpful. I suppose I expected to see more lost in measurements as past I was 81kilos with 108cm waist opposed to now which is 83kilos with a 113cm waist for example. It was 5 ish years ago so I probably do need to account for getting old!

I should add, I knownits not always a done thing, but hotels in my area offer gym memberships to those living nearby. Got to make money somehow. So if you have a hotel near by it might be worth calling and asking.
-
Well, where are you based? In Australia we have 24hour gyms and the after hours generally doesn’t play tv or music. There’s also hotel gyms. They’re pretty quiet too.
-
I got the same. I was still able to add exercise and food though. Have you tried syncing on the more section at bottoms of the app?

I was breastfeeding but I couldn’t lose weight. It was like not going anywhere. I warned my son off at 20mths. It’s the first time in the last two weeks I’ve seen anything finally shift. Good luck though! I hope you’re much more successful than I was!
-
Thanks everyone, I had stopped breastfeeding 12 days ago as well, I hadn't been able to loose weight prior to that. I'm not sure if my dramatic weight drop is related to that. my main meals are about 250-300 calories, with veggies, meat, legumes even. I'm careful to make sure there's a balance in all of my meals. my snacks…

That looks very cool. But I can’t help wonder what about the rest of the body? You’ll end up with some pretty toned legs, but have you got other workouts in place for working on all parts of the body?
-
I feel so dumb! I’d seen that video but not watched it, figuring it didn’t have subtitles but did and now it makes so much more sense! Thank you :)
-
Thank you. MFP says 1400 is best for me. I agree it’s a fad diet. I joined because I wanted a kickstarter, mostly the workouts to get me to a good place. I was hoping once I got to my goal weight I could manage the maintenance with my lifestyle. I’m pretty active, but need something to push the stubborn kilos off. Im…

I have a treadmill, cross trainer(elliptical ), hand held weights, step, yoga mat, skipping rope and resistant bands. I'm thinking a bike machine wouldn't go astray either. but not sure I have the space for it!

On a low dose of Antentol, weight loss has been difficult for sure. In winter the weight comes off, come summer i hold all the water. Drives me crazy. About to head back to Specalist to ask for something else. And I need to lose the weight to bring down BP too. Keep working out, drink water, eat heailtly, even with weight…
