I’ve been doing it for years, I actually think it’s better to be flexible with it and have some days you fast longer or shorter than others. Being too rigid with it becomes impractical when life happens.

Instead of just taking calorie bombs, I would advise you to do strength training so that you aren’t just gaining weight in fat.

Ahem... https://youtu.be/aHOlM-wlNjM There are many benefits to sauna use, but the amount of extra calories burned is probably negligible in the long run. You don’t really step into a sauna to burn calories, but for the other things it can do.
