If you aren't measuring intake, you have almost immediate feedback that you have stopped losing. If you gain one day, you don't have to think that maybe it's caused by this or that, you know the exact cause. You know that you've been at your current weight for 3 weeks, it's time to start losing again.

For me it was shame. I was around young, slim people at university and I was ashamed of the way I looked. Probably the first time in my life I felt that way.

I've done it numerous times, the first couple of days might be hard so I suggest you do it on days when you aren't at a job. I ate in the morning, I never tried in the afternoon or evening.

My appetite died after stopping sugar abruptly. Unfortunately it came back about 2 1/2 weeks later, but it was bliss while it lasted.

In my experience - the minimum period to get a trend from is about 15 days but I use a month. However, I try to avoid using trends and calculating 'goal day' because 99% of the time it's later than that.

My ex would wake me up when I snored. Initially I would be annoyed at her, but I decided fair enough, I'm waking her up, she can wake me up as well. I kept track of how often she woke me up and it reduced as I lost weight.
