I notice a lot of UK people say loose weight, which I find quite odd.

Isn't net carbs just carb grams minus the fiber grams? You have to do it manually. I don't expect they will change this, unless MFP becomes My Keto Pal.

Speaking just for myself, I struggle to lose weight. But I don't blame it on my thyroid. I know if I did what @cmriverside describes above, I would be successful. But I am lazy and inconsistent. As for keto, I couldn't find anything that says it resolves thyroid issues.

I find weight regain after WLS very interesting. It does show there is more to having a surgically designed tiny stomach when it comes to weight loss. So many other things going on. I know WLS would never work for me. Because I sometimes crave food an hour after a large meal. Eating behavior is very complicated.

I don't do the diet, but hoping you get some suggestions!
-
Amazing A1c results! Congratulations. Are you monitoring your calories?
-
I'd pay if MFP would just clean up it's food database. Yikes, what a mess. Dozens and dozens of entries for "tap water", for example. And some of the spelling...chicken beast, genetic apples. smh Or maybe they just leave those entries there for laughs?

"Cleanses" don't cleanse anything, unfortunately. No proof medically that they do anything. Good luck on your weight loss goals, though. :)

Here is a similar brand in brown basmati 60 grams dry =211 calories https://bit.ly/2RWXhKN

Don't know where you got the calorie content for your brown basmati, but it is dead wrong. The white looks correct though. There is very little difference in the calorie content of brown vs white rice, be it Jasmine, Basmati, long grain, etc.

I want that soup. Now.

I wouldn't say what you are doing is particularly dangerous. But how is your program making you feel? Are you feeling tired? Hungry? It does seem a little boot campish to me. I would eat back a couple of hundred calories at least.
-
Yes it is going to be tough if you are "starving". Why are you? Absolutely unnecessary.
-
I burned my 1100 calorie pizza in the oven today. Now I have nothing left to eat but coconut oil and apple cider vinegar. :'( But it's a lovely day.
-
Why would your Dr. advise you to follow a certain diet, and then send you away without any information or resources? Anyway, there are many keto websites with sample menus that can help you. I'm sure you'll get lots o suggestions here too.

A caloric deficit is what matters in weight loss, even on the keto diet. You lost 3 pounds in one week and you think something is wrong? You just might be too impatient. If you expect to lose weight on a daily basis you are going to be quite disappointed. Yes it takes time to see progress. That goes for keto, or any other…

Most people here don't follow particular diet plans. I suggest you go through the guided setup where you input your current and goal weight, your activity level, and what you seek to lose on average weekly. Then just log your calories in the food diary. Welcome to MFP!
-
hmmmm. Not sure then. So both of your MFP diaries are showing the same number of steps? Maybe re-check your physical stats in MFP, that they are similar. Age, height, weight, activity level
-
That sounds like more of a discrepancy between the two apps than anything to do with MFP.

you can ask a moderator by clicking on flag/report.

Thought you should know posting the same comment in multiple forums is a violation of MFP guidelines.
-
nope. MFP doesn't track net carbs.

There are no magical foods that cause weight gain. Although I do not keep snacky foods like chips in the house because I tend to overeat them.
-
I thought this was going to be about dog walking. :'(
-
In terms of weight loss, it would make zero difference in your results if you did.

If you decide to start a senior motivation group, I'm in!

Whoa everyone here will till you that is an unhealthy caloric goal. Strenuous workouts can cause water retention plateaus, but as for the diet, you shouldn't have less than a 1200 calorie goal.

I always rely on the National Chicken Council for data. 222 calories for uncooked and 290 for a cooked chicken wing. Based on a 3.5 ounce serving, adjust accordingly. I would use the same data for the drumette and the second segment.
-
eat less?

You could live on butter and sugar and still lose weight if you are at a caloric deficit.
