Pendle as in witches (Lancashire)?

Haha, no I'm not that crazy - you get a 100g chocolate egg plus a normal cream egg.
-
And when I was at school (90s, North East England) we used to have competitions where we (realistically probably our parents) would decorate boiled eggs. Normally would involve painting them but also incorporating them into some kind of model with an egg pun in the title. I.e. 'egg and spoon race' where the egg was the…

I have just bought myself an Easter egg (chocolate with a Cadburys cream egg) and plan on eating it all in one sitting when I reach my next scale target (I have a goal/reward every 2-4lb). I considered eating it across 3 days and fitting it into my calorie goals, but know that, for me, that will diminish the pleasure…

Lol, yeah Reading is not known for being a lovely tourist destination 😂😂😂

Hi Andrea So sorry to hear you're feeling so fed up. Three of the most important lessons I've learn while losing weight are: eat the most amount of calories you can while losing 1-2lb per week; make sure you are measuring and tracking what you eat accurately and consistently; and don't sweat changes in the scale number…

SW: 201lb (01 Jan 19) GW: 140lb LW: 176lb CW: 173.6lb (-2.4lb) OL: -27.4lb This week included a 3-day diet break so I'm very happy (and also perplexed) with that number. I absolutely loved eating 2000 calories a day, but boy was it hard to get back on the wagon on Saturday. Next goal: 173lb to make it a full 2 stone (28lb)…

For me it depends on the type of meal. For example at a pub recently I had a Ploughmans which is individual things like bread, cheese, coleslaw, pickle, ham, salad etc. For that I guessed a weight of each individual thing on my plate (taking a photo for reference) using my months of logging to help me and erring on the…

I went on a course for dog walkers to learn how to deal with cattle in fields. Top takeaways: - only worry about bulls or mothers with calves. Then you should be careful and avoid the field if possible. - cows love to run and circle and are naturally curious. If you run they will chase you. If you stay still they might…

SW: 201lb (01 Jan 19) GW: 140lb LW: 177.6lb CW: 176lb (-1.6lb) OL: -25lb Got very annoyed at the scale this morning. I've been 0.2 away from 175 for several days and looking forward to my diet break. So I had a small tantrum when it went up to 176 today 😤. I know it is not fat, so will just have to cling to that.

My husband and I have just agreed to try for children when I'm at a healthy BMI. Feeling so incentivised to lose weight right now...need to stay patient.

SW: 201lb (01 Jan 19) GW: 140lb LW: 178.8lb CW: 177.6lb (-1.2lb) OL: -23.4lb Happy with this week's loss. Passed my 'no longer obese' milestone. And I've decided that at 12st 7 (175lb) I'm going to take a 2 week diet break where I eat at maintenance - I am really excited about this. I go up and down with how I feel about…

Here's me up Crook Peak (my mum insisted on a photo 🙄)

Whoop, thanks @tinkerbellang83 . I like seeing these charts. Feeling good about the amount lost in March. Well done @wobblemcwobbleface - hope you're feeling suitably chuffed.

I had a lovely ploughmans lunch at a pub today. Took my mum down to Crook Peak in the Mendips for her Mother's Day treat. It got very hot walking up there and the views were magnificent. I've not tried Keto and I really don't see the need. Any diet that cuts a macro or calories below recommended levels without a medical…

SW: 201lb (01 Jan 19) GW: 140lb LW: 182lb CW: 178.8 (-3.2lb) OL: 22.2lb I must have lost this fat previously and been holding on to water weight as my deficit is defo not more than 1lb per week at the moment. But it's really lovely to see the numbers go down. At 178 I will no longer be obese and I'm going to treat myself…

SW: 201lb (01 Jan 19) GW: 140lb LW: 185.4lb CW: 182lb (-3.4lb) OL: 19lb Happy to be seeing a loss again.

@wobblemcwobbleface I used a TDEE calculator to decide how many calories I should be eating and then changed my MFP settings to reflect it. That way you don't have to rely on MFPs dodgy exercise calorie calculations and I generally think it's a bit more acurate. MFP had me doing a very low calorie count of 1260 originally…

Wow! You seem to be qualified in everything 😀

I'll try and dig one out. Not sure I'm one of the people who rocked it though 😭

"physiotherapy cake" 😂😂😂 sounds awesome @beerfoamy sounds like we were probably at York at roughly the same time. I did Environmental Science...it was a dreadful degree but never mind. I lived in Halifax (the accommodation, not the town) for my first year and then on Hull Road. Seems a very very long time ago now. The best…

Really nice to learn more about the people behind the numbers. Here's some info about me: 1. Alice or Al to my close friends 2. 31 3. Born in Bristol (UK) but brought up in Whitley Bay just north of Newcastle on the coast (or Monkseaton for @tinkerbellang83 who might actually know the area). Went to Uni in York and then…

SW: 201lb (01 Jan 19) GW: 140lb LW: 183.5lb CW: 185.4lb (+1.9) OL: 15.6lb Fell off the wagon badly for a few days with binging and takeaway food. I doubt I put on nearly 2lb though, it's probably mainly water retention. Trying to not get despondent and just get back on with the diet. I have had a crappy week generally as…

SW: 201lb (01 Jan 19) GW: 140lb LW: 187lb CW: 183.5lb OL: 17.5lb I'm celebrating this week because I am back into size 16 (that's an American 12) trousers today 🍾 I gave up on the evening weighing pretty quick as the high weight was too disheartening. Next expected milestone is back into the overweight as opposed to obese…

Welcome and good luck 😀

SW: 201lb (01 Jan 19) GW: 140lb LW: 187lb CW: 187lb OL: 14lb I have changed both my scale and my weight time (now just before dinner previously first thing in morning). So I am comfortable with no change this week. Hopefully will start seeing losses again next week. I've changed the time to suit the fact that my new scales…

SW: 201lb (01 Jan 19) GW: 140lb LW: 188lb CW: 187lb (-1lb) OL: 14lb I've decided I need to change my expectations and mindset. 1lb per week loss is really good and it doesn't matter if it takes me 12 months instead of 6 to get to goal. I've decided to start focusing on my fitness and strength training instead, weigh in…

@tinkerbellang83 I am looking at photos/videos, but maybe I'm just being a bit hard to please. I defo need to have more patience. So sorry to hear you've been sick for so many weeks. Its rubbish but you're doing really well to maintain your calorie deficit.
