SW: 146 GW: 129 LW: 137.3 TW: 136.8 Slowly and steadily making my way to my goal. Gave myself my first logging break (since starting on Jan. 1) this weekend at a girls’ getaway. I indulged (heavy on the sugar, mostly) but didn’t go crazy. 😜 It felt good, and I was back to logging Monday morning. Hoping to reach my goal…

I stopped drinking soda and reduced alcohol consumption. I've been walking a lot more since January 1, and just joined a yoga class last week.

You deserve to indulge in some shameless self bragging! You are within 5.75 pounds of your goal. Amazing! Keep it up.

Congrats!

My fluctuations for the past month. (I’ve only been tracking since Jan. 1.) Edited to add: I started out with about 20 lbs. to lose. My goal is set at 0.5 lbs. per week.

I knew there was an easy solution I was missing! Thanks for the feedback. Your suggestions will work perfectly.

If you feel good and find your current weight to be maintainable long term, maybe you’ve found your ideal. I get your concern about gaining all the weight back, but it sounds like you’re too self-aware to let that happen. Good plan to stay the course for now and reevaluate next month.

I’m 5’5”, female, age 48, aiming for a final range in the low 130s. (I actually set my initial goal at 129 just to see if I could get there since I haven’t seen that number since college, but I look and feel my best around 132). So I think I’ll set my range for 130-134. Currently at 141.

I definitely feel your pain! Strategies that work for me to keep my plantar fasciitis in check: 1. I never go barefoot. Never. In the house, I always wear either my running shoes or a pair of Vionics slippers or sandals. 2. I follow the advice of a sports medicine doctor when choosing athletic shoes that are right for me.…

This is why I sometimes (often) hate the scale. You work so hard and the scale does not always reflect that. You have a high calorie day or two and anxiously weigh yourself hoping you haven’t done any “damage.” Or you have a low calorie day and weigh yourself hoping you have lost a pound. Personally, I just cannot handle…
