  • Thanks! At the original 1200 setting, I was VERY hungry and losing about 2 pounds a week which was too quickly for my stats. 1500 worked well for me (a loss of about 1 pound per week). When I got within a few pounds of my goal, I added another hundred to slow my loss down and help transition to maintenance.

  • Same. I must have music when I run. Previously tried Kronies wireless ear buds, and they wouldn’t stay in place. Been using my AirPods for 7 months now with great success.

  • I’m 5’5” and it was a tight squeeze getting into my size 10 jeans at 146 lbs. I’m currently at 135 lbs., and a size 8 fits comfortably.

  • OP, have you tried using a weight trending app and weighing yourself more frequently than once a week? It’s often recommended here as a way to help you see the overall [hopefully downward] trend. I’ve been using Happy Scale since the first of the year, and find it to be quite helpful—especially when my weight goes up a bit.

  • Yesterday I enjoyed a rest day. This morning I did yoga and ran 2 miles. Tomorrow I will do yoga. Sunday I have a 3-mile run on the schedule. Training for a 5-mile race in late April. 🙂
  • A coworker told me that she carries a lot of extra waste in her bowels, so she’s really 5 pounds lighter than the scale indicates.
  • I was about to reply something similar! I am also 5’5”. On Jan. 1st, I weighed 146 pounds (10 stone 6) and my US size 10 jeans were VERY snug. I’m at 136 now (9 stone 10) and my US size 8 jeans are comfortable.
  • Thanks for this. I started at 146 and am aiming for 126 or thereabouts, so very similar to your starting/ending weights. (Started Jan. 1 and am at 136.7 today.) I know everyone is different, but it’s helpful to see your overall timeframe.
