Hi. I hear the frustration so maybe this will help? Exercise improves your health but consuming less calories than you take in is how you lose weight. Of course exercising burns more cals so you can eat more. If you are taking in 1300 cals a day and you are burning more than that then you have to lose weight....its just a…

I've been travelling quite a bit for work. I get 3 or 4 days in each place so I get to a grocery store the first day and stock the hotel room fridge with fruit and veggies and yoghurt. Add some tuna and crackers, some soup etc and I've been able to avoid restaurants for the most part.

I think it's possible that he told you exactly why he's acting like this when he asked if you were planning on coming back. Perhaps there is a little voice in his head telling him that you are going on this weight loss journey without him and at the end he will lose you. I hear you Slider! I have to remind myself to eat during the day, but if I have down time in the evening then I get in trouble. You've been eating all day and still have over 1000 cals to go? Nope, sorry, makes no sense. Either your calculations on the calories you're consuming are way, way off or your calorie goal is way, way high.

I really like the idea of one step at a time. I tend to be kind of all or nothing, which isn't working well for the long haul. Thanks for the inspiration.

I was away from MFP for a long time. Had some bad life moments which translated to a big weight gain. Feel like I just woke up and got a look at the damage I caused myself. So.....put my Fitbit back on, joined a gym, started logging and, although only day 3.....I'm feeling better already! I'd love some company on this…
