I can relate to a lot of this, I easily become seriously obsessed with a minimal calorie goal, multiple daily weighing, intense exercise every day to get my net calories ridiculously low, etc. Last time I tried to lose weight (2018 I think) I ended up losing about 3 stone (still nowhere near a healthy weight range for me…

Thanks, yeah focusing on health and fitness seem to be good goals right now and working at the moment. Difficult to access counselling really, I can’t afford it privately and when I go via the doctor while overweight they just say I’m overweight and need to sort it 🙄

Thanks, sorry you’re going through this too xx

Thanks Caveman, yes you’re right, perhaps maintaining focus on the parts I *can* see will help. I’m eating healthily and going to the gym/swimming a few times a week. I do feel loads better and am buying smaller clothes, so objectively I can see I’m getting healthier and smaller, I’m just worried about still seeing ‘obese’…

Anyone else find the exercise and healthy eating much harder mid menstrual cycle? (I’m guessing like ovulation time?) I’ve only just clocked this looking at my mfp graphs, but for those two or three days the exercise is really tough going while I’m doing it and I really just want to eat biscuits after the salad 🙈

Hi everyone :) I’m 42 and would love some MFP friends so we can support each other! Overall I had 88lbs to lose and I’m down just over 20 now since the start of the year through starting cardio/weights/swimming at the gym and using MFP to track calories. Feel free to add me :)

Hi you can add me if you like :) I have three kids (12, 10, 6) and want to lose 70-80 more pounds. I stopped smoking about 16 years ago so totally empathise!
