. This. Check your target is set to half a pound a week. And also check what your activity level is set as. As a teacher, I've gone from being on my feet all day and doing 30,000 steps without noticing, to having to push myself to get to 10,000. Can you do the elliptical more often, but for less time. Or do a home workout…

Also, in case you need a nudge, I ran at 7 this morning before it got too hot. Was lovely! Just a slow 2miles with the dog to stretch our my legs after a long run (8miles) last night. I can recommend it as a way to start the day :) Feel free to add me, anyone.

I'm a runner and need accountability food wise. Running about 20-25 miles per weekfollowing a garmin coach plan at the moment to improve my 5k time. I can run long, I cannot run fast! Good at running, and doing other exercises, bad at limiting my portion sizes and snacks. Feel free to add me.

Hey all! I'm still around, just been too busy to post. Have been logging though, so am pleased with myself for that. Start weight: 226lb -January 2019 Start weight this month - 204.2lb Goals: run five times (done two already) Log every day, even the bad stuff Drink 9 cups of water every day
-
A pretty bad showing for me. Started at 205lb (I think), yesterday I weighed in at 201.6, today at 206.6! So who knows where I am. I'm going to split the difference and say 204.0, so a 1lb loss this month. Terrible! Serves me right for never logging properly though doesn't it. I did meet my running goal of 100km in a month…

@bluffgirl67 thanks, that's a good idea! @RavenStCloud Oooh enjoy! Where are you going? I lived in Thailand for a few years ten years ago and loved it, am sure you will too! Just had a great run, 10km, so now I'm going to log all my food for today (and finish logging yesterday, oops) so I'm back on track.

Hi all ;) I have been terrible at logging and checking in. Not self sabotage as I haven't really been overeating and I've been running a lot, but only tiny changes on the scale to show for it. I'm going to have the rest of this week to try and get back into logging, and then commit to logging every day in December. Any…

Very slow, plodding run this morning but at least I got up and did it. Needed to as well, was then at work for nine hours, played badminton, made tea, now I'm off to choir soon. Will be home at 11, can't wait for bed to be honest! @Teresa502 what is the hug a runner challenge? Never heard of it! 19/11: 5km November week 3:…

4/11: 205lb. 11/11: 206.8lb 18/11: 204.6 Just over the halfway mark, and I'm.... back to where I started! Lol. However, I do seem to have gone down despite a terrible week last week. Doing better this week (only Monday though...) and have logged everything today. Whoop! @torihudson6 we got this!
-
Seconded for decathlon - cheap, do the job, last for ages! (Actually thinking about it mine might be 8 years old...)

Hey all. I had a truly bad week. Didn't log, didn't exercise, ate out a lot, drank too much! Rubbish. Yesterday and I today I got in good, long runs, so feel a bit better about myself now. Will weigh on tomorrow but am bound to be up. Targets for this month were: 1. Reach one-der land and sustain it for at least a week -…

Also the weather here has suddenly gone wintery. Foggy all weekend. Picture of my route through the misty forest in the spoiler. Also meant to record my numbers so I don't forget. @Camaramandy648 congrats on doing the 20 minutes! Told you you could do it! :D @somum that sounds tough, good effort on finishing despite the ankle! @noblsheep congrats on your 10k. Shanghai must be a fun city to run in, amazing views. @ContraryMaryMary that race looks and sounds amazing! Well done on staying upright :) So…

The first time I did C25K I was terrified of the 20 minutes. I put it off for three weeks, repeating the previous week. But trust the program. When I did eventually try, I really didn't find it that bad, and finishing it was exhilarating! After a five year running gap I did C25K again and again I was worried about it, but…

Hey all. I thought I had quite a good week but the scales are up: 4/11: 205lb. 11/11: 206.8lb I'm sticking to the same targets. Last week I ran 4 times, so good but not great. I also drank a bottle of wine on Saturday (hmm, wonder why my weight is up) so will try not to drink this week. I was bad at logging so that's my…

@katharmonic nice race report! @T1DCarnivoreRunner back-to-back marathons?! Impressive! @rheddmobile that sounds painful. Could it be a shoe problem if it goes away once you stop? Runs this week: 11/11: 4.65km Runs last week: 27.14km Runs 1st week of November: 11.26km Runs so far: 43.05km Target: 100km

@greenolivetree thanks! I'll check it out. It bothers me a huge amount and I don't really know why... @TheMrWobbly great race report, and congrats on your first half! Did a lovely 5k in the forest today, tracked by my boyfriend's phone. Mine said 4.4k, which I know is wrong as I run that route regularly. Ignoring it! Runs…

Reading about all this cold weather is making me feel a bit smug. We had a lovely 24°C (which Google tells me is 75°F) today, which is very unusual for November. We often have snow by now as well, but this year is super mild, makes enjoying the autumn colours really lovely. Had a lovely run in the first this afternoon,…
-
@martaindale I did the same. Being old sucks! @polskagirl01 I looked at Suuntos, and I like them, but I can't really wear a plastic or rubber watch strap. Can you change the strap? @Elise4270, @ContraryMaryMary and @noblsheep thanks for the pics! They look an OK size I think. I will look at both the fenixs and forerunners.…

@PastorVincent thanks for the reviews, I'll have a good read. Unfortunately I can't go to a store until Christmas, the only ones actually in shops here are fitbits (I think they're ugly plus I agree with you about google) and full smart watches by Samsung or apple and the like. Running tech is not big in Romania! I'll have…

@Teresa502 sounds like a beautiful race to take part in! Bears and ponies are great to see in the wild, and closing the road off to traffic is very cool. Wish we had races like that here. Congrats on the pr as well! @PastorVincent Oh I believe you about the lubricant! I know my boyfriend would as well, he's just a little…

@7lenny7 hahahaha! Great tip!

Hi all! A few days later as I was away over the weekend at a 100th birthday party. Ate a lot! Today's weight was down however: 205lb. Targets for this month: Reach one-der land and sustain it for at least a week. Run five times a week. Ran today so already in progress. Cut alcohol to two nights only this month. Log…

@Avidkeo - your race looks like a lot of fun and a beautiful location. Well done on your times, amazing! @PastorVincent great jacket from your race, and we'll done on three PRs! @emmamcgarity Great time, well done! And glad your kids enjoyed it. I wish there were more 5k races near me, I'm hovering just over 30mins for a…

Just dropping in to say I got in 11.26km over the weekend, back in the UK for a 100th birthday party. Two runs, both with hills which I am NOT used to :D Some amazing race reports everyone, I'll come back and comment later. Aim for November: 110km.
-
@katharmonic thank's for my medal! :D @7lenny7 reading about the ultras is amazing, i know i was flippant before but reading the race reports is really cool. I'm annoyed because I didn't run this morning because I had a padel lesson after school, so that was going to be my exercise for the day. But then that was cancelled…

Guys. Some of you have been doing 50k races, back to back halves, or smashing your 10k pb, but I have just read every post from September 12th to today, so where's my medal?! Seriously though, I loved this group in August and September, then all the usual excuses got in the way- work, family visiting, weather, etc. I ran a…

Hi everyone! *waves* Loved this group in July, August and September, then been off mfp (and the wagon) for nearly a month with work stress, illness and general laziness. My weight is up 2lb, so not horrendous, but I'm not pleased with myself. I won't do any goals for the last five days of october beyond logging and running…
