Checking in! I can't remember if my check-in day is Saturday or Sunday, but never mind. SW:217.8 Start of Sep weight: 210.6 CW:206.6 September goal: lose 12 lb Lost: 4lb @nicruns good idea about taking stock. Whilst I have not lost as much weight as I would like, it's still a sensible amount and I have improved some of my…

@polskagirl01 those are beautiful medals, what a great reward! I made myself go and do my run for today after whinging earlier and loved it. Must remember this feeling the next time I'm feeling a bit knackered. Did a lovely 8.9k in the forest, in lovely temperatures of about 24 degrees. Lots of walkers with their dogs, the…

Thanks @PastorVincent! I am going to look at google earth, because yesterday I did another 5k according to my phone which felt shorter that it normally measures, and I got under 30 minutes for the first time in about six years, and I don't know whether to be thrilled or not (obviously I am, but a bit unsure). Unfurtuntely…

@7lenny7 A full moon run looks like a great idea! I might do one next month if I can. It will be darker earlier next month as well so it won't need to be late. Had a funny morning run yesterday. Did 5km in a much faster time than usual, according to my phone, and the rundouble app. About two minutes faster than anything…

@sthurman we have very similar stats! And feel much the same, it's frustrating losing only a pound or so at a time but I know it's the best way so I'm sticking at it. Good day today, had a lovely 8.4km run, ate well, and didn't snack. Whoop!

@rheddmobile I'm sorry to hear about your car, that's so annoying, and replacing all that stuff will be an expensive pain. That sucks! @Anitchka16 welcome! I'm just over the border in Romania. You have a beautiful country, I was in Sofia in May and it was great, I loved having the mountains right there by the city! I've…

5k before school again today. Don't think I added it to my ticker, so have added it now. Hope I haven't doubled up... @MNLittleFinn amazing race report! Looking forward to reading each section! @Avidkeo what a pain! Our car went a bit moldy last summer (don't ask) and upholstery cleaner got it all out amazingly well. Maybe…

Getting back on track after my bad weekend. Didn't run yesterday but eating was better. then today I ran and ate well, so better all round! A progress check on my goals: 1. Run at least 5 times - 1 run so far 2. avoid sweets, cakes and biscuits 5 times - ate trash two days in a row so now I have to do 5 clean days. We will…

Had two days off running, Sunday on purpose, Monday as I was just being lazy... Nearly missed out tonight as well but forced myself to go out for 5k after dinner. Loved it actually, although wasted fifteen minutes at the beginning trying to convince my favourite street dog to come back to my house; I want to adopt him so…

@RavenStCloud that's a good idea, I might go with that as well. I had a cheat weekend, but all good, I feel good about it and well get back on the wagon tomorrow. Good luck everyone!

@PastorVincent that looks like a great park for running! Love a run along a river. And the floating tiki bar looks fun as well. This morning I got up early (despite a very late night) to go the Terry Fox run at the nearby American school. Unfortunately, I waited 25 minutes for a bus, which should have been every 5 minutes,…

Thanks @IsETHome and @lilann1961 for the perspective. I know you're both right, and it was homemade and delicious, and I only had one when once upon a time I would have had four. And it fit into my calories so no harm done. I just get annoyed when I set myself mini-goals and then forget immediately! However, I am pleased…

An early post from me (I'm at work, hope they don't track the websites I spend time on...) Another early run for me, 5k all over by 7am. Much better than last nights - no sick feeling, faster pace, did some faster intervals during it. Much better! Now I'm off to a cheese and wine evening to undo all my hard work this week…

Hahaha my determination to say no disappeared, didn't even think to say no when someone offered me cake today. Oops! I don't feel bad as it was within my calories and I went to the pub and drank water, but still. So little willpower! My targets and progress this week: 1. Run at least 5 times (4 so far) 2. Eat under 2000…

@autumnblade75 that sounds like so much fun. Pictures please! @PastorVincent the sunset photo is beautiful, you're very skillful. Terrible run after work today. Went with my boyfriend who is fast out of the gates and then slows right down. It was too fast for me and I got a stitch and then though I was going to throw up.…

@LyndaBSS and @ChickieBoom22 thanks both. You're right, I have to get myself to say no. Fortunately today I didn't have to, no cakes and treats around. I'm going to say no next time! My targets and progress this week: 1. Run at least 5 times (3 so far) 2. Eat under 2000 calories per day (4 days in a row) 3. Avoid sweets,…

Great run this morning, 6.7k before 7am and I really enjoyed it. Took a new route, one long slog down a busy road, then around anew housing estate with some great houses to be nosy at, wide pavements and no traffic. Then played padel (like tennis) this evening, so heavy legs now!

Had a brownie for lunch because it was a colleague's birthday so he bought them in. Really kind but I find I get derailed so often by friends and colleagues. I know it's my fault and I should say no, so tempting though! Anyone got any good willpower tips?! 1. Run at least 5 times (2 so far) 2. Eat under 2000 calories per…

@Faebert I'm a teacher too, and British, but teach in Europe. Today was our first day back with kids, after a week of Inset (and later starts). I was quite proud to get up and run 5k this morning and it was just getting light, so the dark mornings will be upon us soon enough. I hate it! It will bring nicer temperatures…

I didn't run today, hellish day at work, so today can be a rest day. I MUST get up early tomorrow to run. monthly question #2 weight loss goal by December? And how do you plan on making that happen? Ideally 20lb but we'll see! To do that I will run as much as possible, count my calories and keep the alcohol consumption…

An ok day foodwise, broke the biscuit ban though! Just posting an update to keep me accountable... 1. Run at least 5 times (1 so far) 2. Eat under 2000 calories per day (two days in a row) 3. Avoid sweets, cakes and biscuits six days of the week (1 day done, 1 day failed) 4. Drink alcohol a maximum of twice (did drink at…

Good point on the water, I am updating my goals to: 1. Run at least 5 times (ran this morning) 2. Eat under 2000 calories per day (1250 yesterday) 3. Avoid sweets, cakes and biscuits six days of the week (1 day done so far) 4. Drink alcohol a maximum of twice (got a music festival tomorrow, plus a party, so no others…

First run for September on the board: 7.3km done in the forest before it gets too hot. I'm doing a bridge to 10k program when I have time, and really enjoyed it this morning, although I was very slow. The vacation talk has reminded me of another: backpacking around New Zealand about six years ago. Great country, amazing…

Aiming for 100km again in September. Didn't quite make it in August, so fingers crossed! Another aim is to get my longer runs up to over 8km, and maybe get my 5km under 30 mins. We'll see! My best holiday was the country of Georgia a few years ago. So beautiful, incredible hiking in the mountains and delicious wine, what's…

Hi all, been away for the last few weeks so haven't contributed much. Will try harder in September! Just caught up though, well done to everyone who lost. Here's my summary: SW:217.8 CW:210.6 August goal: lose 8 lb -nearly made it, not bad as was on holiday. Long term goal: lose 50lb - still stands.

So, in my first month taking part in this group I haven't met my target but I am super proud of how I kept up with running despite very hot weather, being on holiday, and too many late nights. L set the same target next mobth and we'll see! I'm also super pleased to have found this group, you are all so welcoming, so…

Finally made it out of bed early and did 6.7km before school today. Yay! Warm but not too hot yet. Whoever sets up the challenge, I promise I'll answer the monthly question this time!
