Done with the second workout. I'm a fan of the product. I hope to see some great results with this!

Okay......re-did Week 6 Day 2 today. It was a lot easier. Gonna try for the 25 min on Saturday.

oooooh boy. I am DEFINITELY feeling that first workout yesterday! Thank god today is a break!

YAY! You can do it! It's such an awesome feeling to get that run done.

There's a HUGE movement of people who run without shoes. They feel that humans were not meant to wear shoes and that it's better for our body to run barefoot. Both sides say one another is bad.

SO here's my random pizza questin.....When I eat pizza I take all the cheese off and just eat the bread/sauce. How do I enter that calorie-wise???? I'm guessing that the cheese has quite a bit of fat and calories......just not sure what to put.

SO I was at the American Orthopedic Sports Medicine conference today and one of the speakers said something that made everything click. If you take longer than 5 days off between your cardio workouts, you will lose up to 50% of the physiological adaptations that your body has made. Which is why is has been so hard for me…

Did the first workout today. It went well but I need to get some heavier weights I think. Gonna swing by the store today to grab more. After that I did some Tabata on the stationary bike and now I'm callin it a day as far as exercise goes!

My DVDs are arriving today. I'm pretty excited to try the program out. I was debating between this and P90x. Chalean won out because of the shorter workouts that fit my schedule better.

That's a good idea. Perhaps breaking it into mini increments will help get through the 25 minutes! Thank you!! :flowerforyou:

UGH! I TOTALLY have a HUGE mental barrier right now too. I've been putting off the big 25 minute run in Couch to 5K for 2 weeks now. I ran the 20 mins and it was hard but I made it through it but now I have it in my head that I can't do the 25 min. I'm so disgusted with myself. :grumble:   :explode:

I'm on spring break this week so I FULLY intend to get those two other days in without a ton of space in between. Day 2 will be on Thursday which is 2 10 min runs and then the big 25 min on Saturday! AHHHHHHHH! I was using the Robert Ullrey podcast too but then got an Itouch and was able to download the C25K app. Let's you…

HA! definitely NOT a fan of how god made me! If I only had my eyebrows and the hair on my head I would be THRILLED. Who wants to buy me some laser hair removal???

I'm in week 6 of C25K and all I have ever done was on a treadmill. I know at some point I need to get outside since I'm planning on running a 5K in the summer. The treadmill is so much more convenient.

UGHHHHH!!!! I am so frustrated. I am STUCK in week 6. I run like once a week and it's so freaking hard to get through and then I let another week go by and then it's freaking hard again. I re-did day 1 today and it was so hard.........I have to slow down a lot more than I want to to get through it. I think I'm scared of…

Back in the day EVERYONE said put heat on when you hurt yourself. The problem with putting heat on a new injury is that it causes blood vessels to vasodilate (get bigger) which brings more swelling to an already inflammed area. You want to put ice on a new injury because that causes vasoconstriction (gets smaller) whichs…

Yeah......not so big on the hairy ANYTHING. No hairy chest....no back.....no nether regions. I'm smoooooth so I expect him to be smooooooth! Luckily, my fiance feels the same way!

There are three ways to lose weight. 1. Diet alone, no exercise. 2. Exercise, no diet 3. Diet and Exercise Of course with Diet and Exercise you will notice the most results.....BUT it will happen with 1 and 2. Just not as quickly.

Kettleball always looked really interesting to me but I am soooooooo tired of buying equipment. I've got all the dumbbells and pullup bars so I'm set for P90x or Chalean.

There's a difference between pain and muscle achey-ness from working out. I mostly feel deadlifts in my Hamstrings......never in my back.
-
You should be back to working out in no time if it is a meniscus tear. Just get it repaired ASAP when it is diagnosed.
-
FYI.....You NEVER wanna put HEAT on an acute injury. Ice is always your best bet when it's a fresh injury. Ice it, take some anti-inflamms. Check your form when you are doing deadlifts. You legs should have a slight bend to them and make sure you keep the bar close to you legs when you move. Don't emphasize the full…

HA HA! You guys sound like me and my boyfriend. We used to fight all the time over working out. He used to be a minor pro athlete so we would battle all the time over how to do things. He's difficult to get up in the AM also.:grumble: Nick wants to do P90x so he'll do that and I'll probably do Chalean and we'll compare. He…

Oh we have Insanity also. I'm a regular Beach Body store over at my house. It's a great workout but it's more cardio than lifting based and that's what I want more of. The thing that is attractive to me about Chalean is that the workouts are shorter increments. The long P90X workouts seem a little daunting and with…

I don't think they're over estimations, I can burn 600 calories (using my HRM) in an hour doing the same thing. I used to get bored quickly so I would hop on the elliptical, bike and treadmill.

WORD. GET A TAPE MEASURE AND MEASURE!!!! We ended up getting an analog dial scale because every digital one we had said something totally different. The dial scale is nice because you can make sure that it's calibrated everytime.

Oh how I wish I liked yogurt. Can't stand the consistency. I can stomach the drinkable kind but that's about it.
