Whatever you do, make “your” process realistic, sustainable, enjoyable, obvious, satisfying and attractive. It’s all about your actions and your ability to continually make small improvements to them.

Yes, his terminology seems a bit different from ours, but the meanings seem similar. Not sure if nuances show up later that make a difference or not. Sounds like you got a jump on us all. I have read and listened to so many others, it seems many of the concepts are so similar.

Oh yah!

So what I got from Chapter 1 - Your actions(tiny habits of continuous small improvement) are what really matters. Learn to love and/or enjoy the process(system or group of actions), not the result(goal). Your actions create your results over time. Quote “You do not rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of…

Sometimes we just want it so bad, we get all stressed out over the concept. What if gravity changed today and tomorrow you weighed 213lbs. How would you decide whether or not you were healthy?

The path to righteousness is yours, here, now and always! Be your amazing future self today! You got this!

A book discussion sounds interesting. Sounds like a good book from what you describe so far.

Thanksgiving dinner has been an excuse to overeat since as far as I can remember. @gewel321 nice NSV. I will try to enjoy all the foods I like without overeating this year. I am actually excited about the opportunity to make a habitual experience of harming myself with food a pleasurable experience of just enjoying my…

Welcome @fnarrrrrr Your weight doesn’t define you. Your actions define you. Be healthier today through your actions. Be your amazing future self today!

Work my plan! I binge ate peanut butter cookies that my daughter made the other day, and had the opportunity to fail forward, again, and improve my plan. I am grateful it didn’t result in a complete derailment of my efforts, and I am able to see it as a way to better understand my thoughts associated with the food, the…

Welcome. You can do anything you put your mind to. Be your amazing future self today!

If you aren’t already, keep revisiting the reasons behind your plan, all the things you want and desire in life, and all the things you have and are grateful for here and now. You are doing great. Be your amazing future self today!

Huge NSV’s @gewel321

That I wasn’t taught at a young age that we can control our thoughts, and that our thoughts create our feelings and emotions, and that they drive our actions and create our results. Who we are is a result!

Yum!

Great NSV’s. What’s wrong with black and blue. I’m sure it could be worse. I wouldn’t give it a second thought. We worry way to much about what others think. You rock it!

Nice loss! Celebrate your actions!

I use the iPad MFP app. The only issue I have had with the recent update, is it will bomb occasionally.
-
I do this! I think it helps a lot! The mind is so powerful. What we feed it is so important!

Overwhelm can be quite the formidable adversary! Better today than yesterday is all that matters. One small change today can make a huge difference over time in how you feel, your health, and your fitness. Make the change realistic and sustainable for the rest of your life, and you will be on your way to greatness! Be your…

Yep.

Enjoy the ride! BE your amazing future self TODAY!

Learning to control our thoughts and emotions is such a huge part of long term “permanent” weight loss! The mind is everything!
-
For Thanksgiving, I plan to eat everything I love. I will not count calories. However, when I feel full, I am done!
-
It’s definitely not about perfection.
-
You will find what works. Make it realistic and sustainable, and victory will be yours!

IMHO, our bodies adjust. Same thing has happened to me a few times. 3 weeks isn’t enough to really judge how much your body needs. I would say keep doing what you are doing for 6 weeks. At that point, if things aren’t moving again, change something up. You got this. Realistic and sustainable.
-
Welcome! You can do this. Clean is great. Learning how not to overeat is important. Understanding the mind is key! It’s ok to not be perfect. It’s ok to fail. As long as you pick yourself up and learn from your failure, you will prevail.
-
Nothing. You know the actions you are taking to make yourself healthier and really that’s all that matters.

Interesting! Finding any way that works for you, being committed to it, feeling great about them, and having enjoyable thoughts about how much more healthy and enjoyable the process can be is so important to permanently losing the excess weight.
