Keep up the good progress!!

My attempt at going prolonged periods without sugar only lead to binge eating, so I’m going to start over and start with the 3-day challenge again.
-
Good luck! We’re all cheering you on.

Hey everyone! I’m back (took some challenge time off for the holidays) and it’s time for a real challenge! I’m purposing a month long challenge. This isn’t going to be perfect, and I know I more then likely won’t be able to complete the whole thing, but I really need to flush unnecessary sugar out of my diet. If you decide…

Me: 1 LNS: 9* I’ve had a really stressful week and have watched the snacks go up with it. I will strive to do better today and the rest of the month.
-
So I haven’t been doing well during this round, so I’m going to completely start over the 7 days. Starting today!
-
Keep pushing! You’re 2 and 2, which is really good! Just keep reminding yourself, not sugar! I find that chewing gum really helps when the cravings come out. Do you have any tricks for when the same happens to you?
-
Started the week long yesterday, already messed up, but that’s okay. I just got hit with late night cravings and things took over from there, and this showed me that I have to be more mentally strong. 4/8: ❌ 4 oreos and 4 chips ahoy cookies

April 6 Me: 0 LNS: 5 Streak: 0 Okay so I’m joining late and I’m not sure if this is 100% accurate, but I can’t remember if I’ve been snacking or not, so I’ll just assume I have. Starting seriously today though!

Doing the 1-week challenge again, but this time I have more reasoning. I got sick earlier this week and felt completely awful, and I just hated the way it felt. I know that it was the stomach flu, but in part I believe it to be because of how much I ate in the prior week. Normally when I get really sick I’ll go into a…

Welcome! I hope the challenge works out for you!

Hoping everything is going well! Do you have any strategies or methods you like to use when trying a challenge like this?
-
That’s not just okay, that’s great! The whole point if the challenge is to open up our eyes to ways we can make simple changes to our diet. Even just going 2 days is a big step forward, especially when eliminating something completely from your diet can take time to get used to.
-
7/12 days isn’t bad at all! You had a lot of 3-in-a-rows too. How are you feeling as a result?
-
Continuing to go strong! After three days straight of no sugar, I haven’t noticed any cravings at all. Also, my calorie count has been under it’s goal this entire challenge and I haven’t felt hungry! (Except after workouts, but that would make sense 😂) 3/20: ✅ 3/21: ❌ (Nutella Ricecake) 3/22: ✅ 3/23: ✅ 3/24: ✅ 3/25: ✅

Congratulations! Sounds like it’s going very well for you! 😄

Yesterday was another success, and this was very surprising to me. I had eaten out and the desert arrangement was one of the biggest things at the buffet. I kept telling myself I would regret it later and managed to keep myself in check. 3/20: ✅ 3/21: ❌ (Nutella Ricecake) 3/22: ✅ 3/23: ✅ 3/24: ✅

Congrats on the first day sucess! And you’re right, even when we just grab for the smallest sweet it can escalate and affect all the hard work we’ve put in trying to lose weight. Good luck as you progress with the rest of your challenge!
-
So normally I’ll try and drink a whole cup the moment I wake up, but aside from that I just make sure I always have a water bottle on me to stay hydrated throughout the day. The awakening 1-2 cups definitely helps wake me up and feeling fresher, and it can help you control how much you eat at the first meal.

So far the 7-day challenge is going very well. Not only have I seen a drop in my calorie count but I’ve definitely seen a loss in my cravings, not only for sweets but for other foods I should be avoiding. 3/20: ✅ 3/21: I caved in after lunch and had a ricecake with nutella, which I would recommend to anyone with a sweet…

Sometimes even going 20 hours without eating something sugary can really help cleanse out your body. I hope the 2nd attempt went well for you!
-
Welcome! How did the challenge end up for you?
-
Congratulations! This challenge is definitely not the easiest, and most people don’t realize that we happen to eat sugar more regularly then we would have guessed. You’re dark chocolate idea was brilliant, seeing as it really does satisfy the sweet tooth and has been proven to have health benefits.

I am a very avid swimmer and runner, and as of more recently I’ve been drinking a lot more water. Due to genetics I become bloated very easily, so I’m deciding to try a new method of green tea in the morning and a detox tea at night in addition to lots of water. Doing this has helped me stay of track when it comes to…

I have been very reluctant to admit to myself that I am not happy with what I’m eating and the weight that I am at, so I’m going to challenge myself to do a week of sugar-free eating. Looking through my past few days on MyFitnessPal, the only thing pushing up my calorie count is sugary snacks. Eating less sugar should…

Congrats! Sounds like the challenge is going well for you!
-
Congratulations! I hope the last two days went well for you!

I think both of these things are part of the problem. I’ll take your advie into consideration and perhaps reset my goals a little bit. Thank you so much for the advice, it was very helpful!
