  • 37F 5ft 7 SW 67.5kg round 225 GW 60kg CW 66.9kg round 227 21 June 66.9kg 22 June 66.2kg - well what do you know, reduced my carbs dramatically yesterday and an instant improvement. I have PCOS and read that reducing carbs will have the most impact because they have the biggest effect on insulin which then effects hormones…
  • Thanks @quiltingjaine for another round. This is my 3rd in a row. Last round was disappointing for me, but perhaps some lessons learned - staying within calorie goals and exercise is not enough, I need to keep an eye on my macros. In particular I will be reducing my carbs this round to see if there is much difference. My…

  • @SModa61 I have noticed the same thing, that on days when I eat too much treat foods my body temperature does not regulate very well, which then affects my sleep. I think it's something about insulin and hormones 😕

I didn't go crazy (I really wanted cheese but restrained…

  • @martaindale thank you so much! yoga and strength exercises are helping 🤞🏼 yeah, it's a sporting injury from repetitive stop and twisting, it's a tear in the cartlidge which brings on flares of arthritis 🤕
  • Thank you @SModa61 I will definitely remember this in future 💖

I didn't work out yesterday as planned, but still went for a short walk and ate within my calorie limit. I did have a coffee…
  • Thanks @quilteryoyo 🙏🏼 💖🌟
  • Thanks for the pep talk @BringIt2023 , I will take your advice and stay determined 💪🏼 🙌🏼

I went for a run last night but had to cut it short as to not flare up an injury. I really hope it resolves…
  • Well I may have jinxed myself talking about injuries, but I'm hoping I've paused early enough that it won't hang around. My dodgey hip likes to keep me guessing 😖 stopped at 3km today. Will wait until it feels settled before trying again. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

My scales tell me my body fat percentage has decreased, so that's a win. Perhaps it's the reason for slower kg movement? Could be muscle gain? Perhaps the initial…
  • Hi All, just checking in, not because I have done any runs since my last check in, but just to keep me on the momentum of at least 2 runs a week. I've made a plan of how to increase my kms to get to my 14km goal by August in time for the City2Surf. This week will be 7km and 8km. The weather forecast this week is looking…
  • @chris_in_cal not wise, have just learnt the hard way too many times 🤣

But to give credit where credit is due - it was a 4 day weekend for me and I generally ate well,…
  • Good on you for changing the habit of emotional eating and just being with the feelings. I wish you well on this unforeseen chapter of life. I hear so many crazy stories coming out from the DNA and ancestry testing 😬 glad you have your son to support you as well. 💕💕
  • I find the same thing with photos, I think I look pretty good in the mirror and then nowhere near the same in photos, so you're not alone. But I also think we're way more critical on ourselves than we are on other people. 💕💕
  • 37F 5ft 7 SW 67.5kg round 225 CW 66.1kg round 226 UGW 60kg 11 June 66.1kg 12 June 66.6kg snacked last night, didn't do any exercise yesterday, and could be the alcohol/snacks from the previous night now having an effect 🤷🏻‍♀️ not discouraged, as we know, it goes up and down everyday, it's about long term consistency 😀
  • I've done a few of these rounds on and off over the last yr or so, but have to come to realise the importance of long term consistency. So I came back again half way through last round. My ultimate goal is to lose fat/tone up, like photos of myself more, not so focused on the numbers, however they give a good direction -…
  • @quilteryoyo thank you! You're doing a great job, keep it up! I didn't do the park run, decided I'd prefer to sleep in, so I did a run on my own later in the morning. Did another 7km, was quite achievable, so I'm feeling very good about myself. I will be making a plan for the next 10 weeks to gradually get longer…

I also had pasta for dinner which tends to add to weight the next day. On top of this, I only did a short workout as I was quite tired and also wanted to save my legs for a…
  • Knocked off one run for the week last night, 7km. Got out there despite the threat of rain. Found some well lit streets, it's always a bit risky running at night, I worry I will trip or sprain an ankle. I have a 5km parkrun tomorrow morning, but will probably add a k before and after to bring it to 7km. Feeling good to be…
  • 37F 5ft 7 SW 77.5kg round 225 GW 60kg 7 June 77.5kg 8 June 66.4kg 9 June 66.1kg Stuck within my calorie goal yesterday. Didn't go for my lunchtime walk as it was raining, but went for a 7km run last night. I'm re-learning the mindset of ignoring that little voice when I come home from work that says I'm tired and I'm not…
  • I've always wanted to run the City2Surf. I've bought a ticket twice and both times couldn't do it due to injury 😫 maybe it will be 3rd time lucky 🤔 the event is August 13th. For the next few weeks my goal is to just establish regular running again, 2-3 times a week. I've been able to get out once a week the last few weeks.…
  • F37 5ft 7. SW 77.5kg round 225 GW 60kg, although more focused on toning up lumpy bits than a number, but the number gives good direction. 7 June 77.5kg 8 June 66.4kg Ate quite well yesterday and under calorie goal, also did a tough Heather Robertson workout - both strength and cardio, as well as a slow lunchtime walk which…
