Glad he has had such success - I hope he has learned the correct habits to sustain his weight loss. I wonder if his trainer was auditioning to be a trainer on the biggest loser? I'm so skeptical, but really that is amazing he did it all for free. So many can't afford getting that kind of help and guidance. I hope they stay…

I honestly avoid telling people what mental health illnesses I have. Nowadays everyone is an expert on them, and wants to tell me what it's like to live with them. It is so frustrating. I never talked about it, my family never knew, but my therapist thought it was time to start sharing with a few people because my symptoms…

I lived on a 4th floor apartment for 3 years, now in a 3rd floor, both with no elevators. The stairs have never gotten easier lol. I'd say it's pretty normal.

I have a mini DASH and I really like it! I've had it almost a year now. I use it for brussel sprouts, chicken tenders, marinated chicken breasts, re-heating leftovers, homemade tortilla chips, chickpeas, the list goes on. It takes up barely any counter space, is great to use in the summer as an alternative to the oven (in…

Someone disagrees that I eat a healthy choice for lunch? I am interested to understand who is spying on me and stalking what I eat for lunch :D

It's very interesting to read that so many people are having success in weight loss without being insanely physically active because diet culture tells us we have to work out everyday and eat nothing but cabbage soup to lose weight. It was also nice for me to think about because I always am hard on myself these days…

walking around the parking lot at work many, many times. hills included!

The best time for dessert is all the time.

I probably log the most hours per week exercising out of everyone I know, but I only walk so it takes me more time to burn those calories. I also hike on the weekends quite often and I don't know anyone who gets outside activity as much as I do. I have a friend who does circuit training classes that I'd probably consider…

I had a good experience with phentermine once I took a class on how to properly use it. I think it could help a lot of people if they are educated on it like I was.

I pretended like a large pizza with bacon and pineapple didn't have calories last night :)

On Saturday, I felt HOT for the first time in a very long time. I went to a wedding, and due to a delivery mishap, had to wear an unplanned dress. But as soon as I put it on, I was shocked. I kept looking in the mirror and thinking it doesn't really look this good, I must be delusional. But as soon as I got to my friend's…

That's great progress!! That is exactly what I have been doing since February, logging and walking! I am down 33 lbs and 2 pants sizes. Consistency is key !

Healthy Choice "simply" chicken fried rice.

I have a boyfriend, but we really only see each other on the weekends so I eat alone most of the time. I cook a lot, almost everyday. I see it as a form of self care.

Just got back from a diving trip. I am 30 lbs lighter than the last time I wore my wet suit and it fit so much more comfortably. I also was much happier to pose for pictures this time around.

That is awesome!! Way to go - keep up the consistency!!

I love my instant pot! I've had it since 2016. My favorite healthy meals are soups and chilis. I haven't made any recently with the hot weather, so none are in my recipes yet but i'll need to start building those soon so feel free to add me! I'm making my first batch of chili tonight  Chicken breasts are great - I…

My vote is to not say anything unless he asks your opinion. People change throughout relationships, and if you want this to be long-term, you're both going to change a lot over the years. However, if he is really trying to tempt you with food he knows you're trying to avoid, that would bother me and I would address it…

In 42 weeks I have lost 30 lbs. I still have 43 lbs until I hit my goal weight, so it will likely be another year to that. It's very, very hard to lose 2+lbs a week or even 1 lb a week for a very long, extended period of time simply because life is life and some weeks you'll be on, some you'll be off, some you'll just be.…

Hey! I am 31, and I have OA, fibro, and PTSD. I hit my highest weight in dec 2018 of 248, and I just hit my -30 lb loss mark (yay!). My goal weight is 175 which I hope to hit next year sometime. My priority though is to just feel better and love myself more.

Also could be boredom. I started walking at a park after work. Takes up about 3 hours of my time, and when I get home it's time to shower, cook dinner, eat and a little tv before bed. I used to eat away my evenings too, and distracting myself helped a lot.

You might even meet a companion at AA that is also in a similar situation and wants to lose weight too.

Last winter - January I think - I bought a new winter coat but it was so tight and barely fit. I am now really excited to try it on this winter!!

I'm officially down 2 pants sizes! Dec 1, 2018, I was at my highest weight and found the stretchiest pair of 16s I could squeeze into because I didn't want to buy 18s, but that is what real size I was. On Saturday, I bought 2 new pairs of jeans in 14s and they fit comfortably :) I almost cried. I wore them to the Miranda…

I really liked watching the show, but I can understand why it needed to be taken off the air for a while. The amount they made the contestants work out every day seemed like torture looking back. The last couple seasons the contestants finished the season at home which I think was a great addition to the program, because…

I tried phentermine twice. The first time, my doctor told me nothing about it. I lost weight for 2 months, stopped, went off it and gained. Earlier this year (February) I took a class about it, and started it again, and it's been a much better experience. I took it consistently for about 2 months, and then started only…
