I've been trying to get down to the weight I was when I started dating my boyfriend (and then some) and I'm only 2 ish lbs away !

Yes, one time I was doing sumo deadlifts and a bro tried to tell me I was doing them wrong because my feet aren't supposed to be so far apart for dead lifts. I said I would agree with him if I was doing regular deadlifts but I'm not and told him to please leave me alone, which of course pissed him off. It's happened many…

I definitely don't think we should ban them, but i'll tell you what - ever since I got rid of cable I don't eat fast food as much.

I love Ina Garten, but she honestly makes the most intense things and fancy ingredients sound so easy and normal. Makes me laugh and shake my head a lot.

How long have you been working on this? It took me 5-6 weeks to see regular downward progress. But even then, in the long run there are going to be SO many fluctuations. In one week, the scale shows a variation of 5-8 lbs. The trend is what matters, which is why it's so important to give it time and to keep tweaking things…

My goal weight is 175. I'm at 220 now. My highest weight was 248 on Dec 1 2018. 6 years ago I got down to 175 for literally one weigh in, but I do remember really being comfortable with how I felt near that range. I hope to be pretty close to my goal by this time next year, or ideally June 2019. We'll see :) It's very hard…

Oh, I forgot to add i'm 5'6

At my highest weight, 248, I got really stretchy 16s from Old Navy, otherwise I would have gone up to an 18 in non-stretchy jeans. I am now ~220 and the stretchy 16s are big, but not too big so I still wear them. I can now fit 14s but they are really uncomfortably tight, so I am thinking another 10 lbs and I'll drop to a…

Lots of stretching and yoga help me. I ha to stop doing high impact exercise like running, but I still jog from time to time. Low impact like walking, elliptical, and zumba if I skip the jumps are good. Anything in a pool is my favorite :) A lot of people will suggest core strengthening exercises, and that is right, but…

Grilled ribeye, red peppers, and pineapple along with oven-roasted broccoli for my dad's birthday dinner yesterday. For dessert we made brownie sundaes yum!!

I tell my best friend all of the hot mess things that happen to me by starting it with "And on this episode of My Life is a Joke....." It helps me laugh through it because honestly, 2019 just isn't my year :D

Thanks everyone for the advice! The boys are on day 2 of their "diet" and they seem to be doing ok, they like the new food and aren't mad at the raised bowls. Boregard also isn't regurgitating anymore either, so now I know to definitely stay away from Crave for him. I am going to weigh them once a month on my scale, and…

@tinkerhellraiser I do not know why I did not think of this sooner. Considering how well this works with humans, it MUST work with cats, too! Genius! I am also going to start putting up pictures of cats with the ideal body weight around the house and slip laxatives in their food. I will also tell them they are "handsome…

Not to be a buzz kill on the recycling, but unfortunately our recycling centers are becoming just as over crowded as our landfills with no where for any of it to go. We've been selling our recycled items to other countries, China bought a lot, but now they are refusing to buy it because they don't have anywhere to put it…

Oh dear. Do you think even just one would cause issues? I'm thinking since I am just a visitor wherever I am I would be the only one using them and so the only one flushing them and hope just one or two would not cause any damage.

I am high maintenance when it comes to toilet paper. I will bring my own (I keep the wet wipe TP in my purse) because I hate using certain kinds or really cheap stuff.

I know how challenging it can be to chase a diagnosis. I wish you the best of luck in keeping your determination and to keep fighting for yourself and your health! MFP is an excellent and v supportive community. All the hugs and support in the world <3

Thank you, @Vikka_V !

@JeromeBarry1 Thanks for that advice! I honestly love the interaction we have at meal times, but I will keep this in mind if I keep having trouble seeing progress with them.

@lahan505 yes I thought high protein food would work too! That is why I switched to Crave, but they gained instead of losing :( When I adopted Boregard and he was on kitten food, my vet told me to make sure that my adult cat didn't get into it because kitten food is really high calorie and she'd gain weight like crazy so…

@GymGoddessGoals wow 30 lbs?! I cannot even imagine. I hope your remaining time together is as amazing as possible. Losing a pet companion is so hard. Someone suggested another cat to spice things up, an energetic kitten. But I feel that is only temporary fix and my boys love each other so much, I wouldn't want to risk a…

@LyndaBSS Nope, I live alone. I switched from treats to nip because it makes them roll around and chase each other. I had a cat for 15 years, she passe at age 18 and she never had weight issues. She was very petite, about 8 lbs her whole life. Now I have these two lil piggies and I gotta get creative somehow! I can only…

@tcunbeliever thanks for the encouragement! I guess we will all be doing weigh ins together! Also, so awesome you helped those dogs. So many people wouldn't have had the patience, or dedicated the time.

awww she is beautiful!! Yes, as soon as my boys hear the alarm go off they are howling for food. Same when they see me start to cook dinner. This is Lennox, he just weighed in at a whopping 18.8 lbs. He is 3. This is Boregard, and he just weighed in at 17.8 lbs. He is 6. I wish I could tell myself it's just genetics, but I…

Hey! Welcome :) I'm up in Ohio, and I've been at this my whole life (former collegiate athlete and power lifter post college), but most recently Dec 1 2018. I also have chronic pain from Arthritis and am in the process of being diagnosed with something else (most likely fibro but we'll see). I totally get you on the age…
