Thanks guys, I did try to be a delicate as possible so thank you for noticing. Another thing that surprises me is just how much energy you gain in general. Going for a long walk now, no problem. Going for a jog, no problem. Not only that you sometimes can't wait to do those things. Get the blood flowing and get moving and…

Thank you for the confidence!

Thank you, have faith you can get there! My wife has lost 30 pounds too, she is doing GREAT. Proud of her very much.

Thank you very much. I just didn't know if you were allowed to if you could talk about things like that in these forums. Its all good.
-
Thank you! You can get there.

Thanks, I agree, keep my eye on the prize. That's what I have done throughout this entire thing. Through good and bad, through plateaus and large drops. My motto is plow though it and keep on trucking. 😁 Not to sound super confident or anything but I'm thinking when I get to 190 if I don't try for 180 but that would be the…

Thank you to all of you. It's a thing to see on the bathroom scale. Now tomorrow because of fluctuations I might not be 199 but it's all going in the right direction.

Holy cow I am not the only one then. It's insane the difference. My wife and I both want it more often. My wife has lost 30 pounds or so and I am 73 down. Not only do we do it more but it's insanely better quality. That should be enough motivation for anyone.

Thanks guys, I'm just so happy. It's just so nice to see 199 on that scale even though 199.8 is just under. Anyway it was nice to see!

Well here are things that surprise me being down 73 pounds, 9 more to goal. The strangest is I'm cold more often, I mean cold in situations I would not have been before. I used to wear a regular old flannel all winter, I'm already looking for warmer clothes and jackets/coats because I know I'm gonna be freezing. Next is…

Thank you!

Nice! 44 to 34, now that is impressive. I always saw is a different world now. Good job, when I get to 190 which is the goal I might need size 36 jeans. 😁

I guestimate, and have become pretty good at it. Sometimes I finish everything but more times than not I don't.

Ok, this brings up an interesting question I have had for a long time. If you didn't eat the whole day but you just ate dinner and that dinner was exactly what you normally eat for the day in calories would that affect you? Meaning you ate no breakfast, no lunch, no snacks, just water throughout the day but at dinner you…

Thank you very much for that post. Sodium/salt really is a pain. It can mess with your head, mess with the scale but really can't cause weight gain persay. They want you to keep it so low too, 2300 a day is tough most of the time.
-
No, I said that in my post. I was just asking in general about eating late, digestion and weighing at your normal time. I'm quite happy with the steadiness over the last week. Between 201 and 202 basically for a week or more. Goal is 190.
-
Yeah that makes sense, thanks.

Yeah I'm pretty good with estimating food calories. Through this entire losing weight thing I never tried to be absolutely perfect because I think that is kinda impossible anyway. Yeah I want it as close as possible but I did not want to drive myself nuts. With that pizza last night I was exactly the same on the scale…

Thanks guys, I guess I'm doing it right then. It's just an estimate, I don't go absolutely crazy with getting numbers perfect. Just didn't want to be way off as it seems I am not.

Ya know what is really funny about all this, eating healthy tastes great! Its not bland yucky food, its freaking delicious. I never eat "healthy" that tastes bad, it tastes great. Chicken and fish, veggies, all good, tastes great!
-
Exactly, I think about it and it's almost like I woke up from a coma. Like I was in a food fog just eating without a thought. The contrast to now, today is astounding. I'm at a birthday party today in which I have no control dinner. I just had to make the best of it and make good, the tight decisions. Had some salad which…

Awesome replies guys, awesome information. The key we can say is education and awareness. Understand what all those numbers on the back of food packages mean, what they tell you. Is it not, what, 3500 calories over your maintenance calories equals 1 pound. When I think of that way it seems insane how many calories I was…

Soda will do it for sure. The sugar in those drinks as we know is sky high. I only drink water now as I think most people who have lost weight. Once in a while I'll leave a zero calorie flavored drink but that's not very often. Kirkland organic unsweetened vanilla almond milk is the only milk I drink too now. Decisions,…

Yes like cakes and pastries without a care. Like what the heck was I doing? Now I think about everything I eat, I make actual decisions, better decisions now of course. :D
-
Thank you very much, appreciate that.

I should mention it's no longer a diet, it's a complete lifestyle change. I know cliche to say but it really is. I have the power now, I know what to do, I know what's healthy, I know the amount of food I should be consuming. It's like I took the power back from the food, from my own head. 11 pounds to go and I will, not…
-
Definitely will be here case. I'll be taking in a ton of sodium I'm certain. I am gonna do a ton of walking but I still expect the scale to be up a tad the day we get back.
-
Yeah no way I'll be able to weigh. That's completely out. I will do my best to log. You can only put on so much weight in 5 days. I'm aiming for break even same weight.

That is true and I am doing two things on this cruise to burn more calories. I'm taking the stairs instead of the elevators and each morning I'm getting up early and going to the track at the top of the ship to do 2 or 3 miles of walking and watch the sunrise. Burning calories and watch the sunrise from the middle of the…
