My husband and I can touch our sides and feel where our ribs are, instead of just goosh. That's lying down, anyway. When I'm sitting up, I still feel goosh.

I was brainwashed with the same mentality. "Eat everything on your plate. Wasting food is a grievous, horrendous sin!" (As if gluttony isn't.) I had to learn in therapy that eating more than our bodies need is also wasting food. Good ideas for saving leftovers in this thread. By the way, where do you get those mesh,…

I may worry too much. When I spoke the same fear to a friend, she suggested I take this picture to the first visit.

I went walking today for exercise. Not only was my pace slightly faster than it had been, but I also noticed that my old velour drawstring pants were getting loose. When I got home, I had to tighten the knot.

Congratulations to you both. For me, the victory (so far) is that I'm out of "morbidly obese" and into "obese."

Hubby and I were out and about today, and both of us noticed we were having trouble with our jeans wanting to sag on us. We don't particularly care for that fashion statement. It's not our style. So we stopped and got ourselves new belts. I haven't worn one in years. Need it now.

I just bought a new Easter dress. It fits. I can stand, sit, bend, and twist in it, and nothing rips. It is not made out of stretchy knit fabric. And it did NOT come from the Plus Size section.
