Crater Lake! Sea Lion Caves! Kid friendly wineries are all over if you like wine.

Be realistic.

I had mine out on a Friday after work, rested over the weekend; and went to work without restrictions on Monday. I don't know what my doctor would have advised, but that's what I did. I signed a contract saying I would work the entire summer program without taking any days off--so that's what I did. I have a very active…

Logging is a part of the equation. I'm liking the results so I'll gladly keep logging. It seems a small thing for such a big payoff.

I line mine up with my floor tiles so it is in the exact same spot every time I weigh. I move it weekly to clean under, but that's it.

Ouchie! Give yourself time to heal and then work back up to it. If it feels better, do a little walk; if not, rest.

https://picnikaustin.com/products/butter-coffee-creamer This is a product that is newly available in my area (Central Texas). I'm going to give it a go when I pick up groceries later today. I'm not Keto, but I am trying to watch my carb intake due to high A1C's. Hopefully I'll like this product and it will help with my…

I recently discovered Costco for decently priced, decent looking jeans with a touch of stretch. I'm losing most of my weight in my upper half and have not yet needed to drop a size. I'm using belts to get more mileage out of my jeans. Where I work and where I do most of my volunteering, free logo t-shirts are often…

My goal is to be the healthiest version of myself that I can be. I'm very active (though not in a gym) and wish to stay that way.

I don't typically seek out foods I dislike strictly because they are "healthy." Except for lima beans and oysters, I can eat most foods. I recently made a pan roasted turnips au gratin. It looked delicious, it smelled delicious, but it tasted awful to my palette.I tried to eat it two days in a row and finally scrapped it.…

Fit it into your deficit and enjoy!

I cancelled my debit card that the monthly auto-pay was tied to. That was after I attempted a polite, "normal" cancellation by calling and going in person. They are a DIFFICULT company to break ties with. The cancellation for Planet Fitness was easy peasy. I went in and said that I moved to an area without a nearby gym;…

Bravo Nike!

I'm neutral. I did a once weekly water only fast when I was in college. I thought at the time that it helped me control my weight. I don't currently fast, but I'm not against it if it helps others maintain their deficit. To each their own, I say.

I'm not sure why you are so adverse to cooking. You can have everything you want if you cook it. It's also strange to me that you are intentionally further restricting your diet because you won't cook and are "picky." I think you need to take a hard, honest look at yourself and decide whether or not you are happy spending…

I'm sure I was asking a lot of my size 16's when I was 32lbs heavier. I know that factors in.

It's not just "fat brain" going on. My starting size is still my size. They are looser, but by no means am I in danger of my pants falling down. I did try to go down a pant size, but I couldn't get them up past my hips. I'm not imagining things. I wore a snug size 16 at 225lbs and I now wear a comfortable size 16 at…

Again, thank you all for taking the time to respond and offer advice. I'm not so discouraged that I want to give up. I just want to see some physical results! Patience....
-
Thank you all for the encouragement. I don't like being a whiney baby...

@manderson, I'm also 5'6" so our stats are indeed very similar. Congratulations on your losses! I'm not so discouraged by my physical appearance as others see me as I don't care. I was expecting to see some changes in the mirror.
-
I take the basic MFP measurements, once a month. I'm -1" from neck; -4" from waist; and -5" from hips. The stats are positive and encouraging, but my appearance/size, and sense of well-being/health have stayed the same.

I drink plain water. What is the purpose of these additives?

Dinner. I save 3/4 of my calories for dinner.

Calorie deficit.

There is a big difference between every 6-8 weeks and every 3-4 months. Every 6-8 weeks translates to 7-9 times per year; whereas every 3-4 months translates to 3 or 4 times per year. Denial/downplaying the frequency and/or severity of a problem is a symptom of a problem. Do you binge 3 times per year or 9 times per year?…
-
Congratulations! It feels great doesn't it?
-
If you are not weighing all of your solid foods and weighing/measuring all of your calorie-containing liquids, then you are likely eating more than you think you are. Get that scale and get weighing!

I tend to drink alcohol 3-ish times a week, but I have one serving. It sounds like you are a binge drinker. It's something you might need help with. I don't think it's normal for a person to drink that much alcohol in one sitting. That is A LOT of alcohol. Overeating the next day is the least of your problems.…

I log everything.

I weigh daily. It's working for me.
