I’m 62 and retired. I ended the last challenge with good momentum (down 3#) so I’d like to keep it going another round. I weigh on Fridays. 1/31:SW: 152.8 GW: 145ish (I also call this my unicorn weight. It would be maintenance, and I’ve never reached maintenance. I get close, stop the work, and put the weight back on.)

I’m 62 and retired. I’m proud of the work I put in this week, and I want to keep the momentum going. I tracked everything. I’m usually lazy and stop after dinner and that’s when I snack. They add up quickly and getting back to tracking was a good reminder. My scale isn’t going to move if I’m not in a calorie deficit. I can…

@GinLee61 congratulations on reaching maintenance! and yes, please stay with us. You are an inspiration that maintenance is achievable and not a unicorn goal that only exists in the magical MFP world. I would love to hear how your maintenance phase goes, the successes as well as the failures, to help me transition when I…

@faurotann Thank you for the encouragement. I wrote the mantra on paper and taped it to the fridge as a reminder to myself that I am working hard and should be proud of my accomplishments, big or small!!

I debated weighing today. Christmas was good, but so were the food, cocktails, and sweets. So many once a year homemade sweets. This is a non judging challenge group so I’m owning it, recording it, and moving forward. 11/1: 152.8 11/8: 151.4 11/15: 154.4 11/22: 154.0 11/29: 154.4 12/6: 151.8 12/13: 150.2 12/20: 150.0…

Four overnights with my 2 yo granddaughter while her parents traveled for work, and it shows on the scale. She’s a burst of energy and kept me busy. A win win for me. Up 3 from last week, but I expected a gain from grandbaby’s bday party with too many tempting leftovers in the house. Ice cream and chips!! My two worst tempters. Goal this week is to drink more water. 8/1: 155.2 11/1: 152.8 11/8: 151.4 11/15: 154.4 Challenge Goal: -9.4 Challenge Actual: +1.6

I tried something new this week. I usually weigh daily, but I decided to weigh 1x, on Friday. I felt like the scale was becoming an obsession. I also noticed if my weight went down, I gave. myself an excuse to have that extra snack. Next day, the weight went up. Next day down, Next day up. This cycle has been going on for…

I’m in. My progress wheels are in motion (down 2.4 last challenge) so I want to end 2024 strong. Thank you @RubyRed427 for setting this up. SW: 152.8 GW: 145.0

@Deeder522 Ooo la la. Bathroom is awesome!!

@Deeder522 Much better. Thanks for asking. It was a head cold that stuck around far too long. I was finally able to go to my aerobics class last night. Funny how the body forgets all the work you put in when you miss a couple workouts. Glad to hear you’re almost done with the remodel. I can’t wait to see the before and…

I’ve been down from exercising for a week. Just a cold, but it wiped out all my energy. So I listened to my body and rested. I just finished Leslie’s Heart Healthy 1 mile, and it feels good to get back into it. I’m hoping the rest of the month is back to a routine.

Finally see a 150 something. Hoping for 149 something next week. Slow and steady. My husband’s bday dinner is Sunday, cheesecake and pie 😵💫, so I will need to eat mindful at dinner and try and avoid those apps. Im pushing myself to end this challenge strong. Happy October!! I love this month!! Beautiful colors, warm days, cool nights. October started out strong for me, and then I caught a cold. I took a few days off to rest and today I finally feel up to a workout. I’ll start with 1 mile and see how it goes. @Deeder522 . Keep reminding yourself how wonderful it will look when…

Trending down slow and steady. I was really hoping for 150 anything. So close. Ugh! August 8/1: 155.2 8/8: 153.0 8/15: 153.4 8/21: 153.0 8/29: 153.2 Total for August: -2.0 9/5: 153.6 9/12: 152.6 9/19: 151.8 9/26: 152.2 Total for Sept: -1.0 10/3: 151.0

My Sept goals were to exercise every day and do the Leslie 30 minute fast walk at least 1x/ week, and I’m very proud that I met my goals. There were a couple weeks I actually did the 30 minute 2x. Yay me! I’m still thinking on my October goal. It might just be a duplicate of Sept. I want to keep it realistic and…

Outside mile yesterday and aerobics class tonight. Trying to finish September strong.

At least it’s not a gain. I like this group. It is working to motivate me. Old me probably would have given up by now with this slow…

@Deeder522 A day away sounds fun. For me, being outside has a way of boosting my mood. I hope you are able to convince Ry to do something. I had my third aerobics class last night and my body is hurting less the next day so I think that’s a good sign. Hopefully I won’t be too tired when I get home to squeeze in 1 mile. I…
